Root [ROM] The Casio C771 RedPill ROM

Great job, Thanks!

Just installed on a brand new m130 c771, no problem.
They are going cheap on ebay btw, picked up 2 for $120 ea. NIB; registered fine w. PagePlus

One request, I'm planning to flash my wife's c771 as well but both red would be a recipe for mix-up. Any chance of a bluepill rom? or a compatible theme in any other colour? The stock colour scheme repackaged as a theme would be fine.

Again great work

I can tell you that Monkeytools has a "Casio Blues" Rom. And their is his "Stock Rom" as well. If you want just a theme install I just re-packaged the M130 stock rom and M130 Blue ROM so they are just themes. The Themes themselves are work of Monkeytools not me. There also is a "Super blue theme", but with the new themes out there it's not really that "super" anymore.
all downloads are on my google drive here

This has been a huge help for me. Got to say you are AWESOME Willis, Saved me from having to go get a different Phone. Only issues I have faced with the ROM is no GPS (not a big issue as I never turn it on) and when you turn off the 3g internet the battery drops like a rock.

With the Stock ROM you can turn off the 3g wireless internet and the battery would last for days and days. However with this ROM it drains the battery very quickly. This is not a major issue just something I had noticed

Yeah this ROM still has a few bugs that I am trying to work out. If you want all the features back then you could flash one of the other two ROMs, and then the Red Theme package. That might help.

I active my phone now. But it still tell me No new Software Update Available. :(

they might have disabled the update service in china, or discontinued it altogether seeing how the Commando 4g is out. Check in your phone settings to make sure that you can see the M50 version, and make sure that you can still access the web. Another option Could be to send me the M50 nandroid backup and I can try to flash and download the OTA updates. Then I can save them and send them to you to manually flash.

I tried to replicate the same situation by turning off WiFi and mobile data (but still had on cell reception for talk and text) for about half an hour and the battery only went don 2 percent. Is there something else that I am missing?

Another thing that it could be is that if you come out of a resource intensive app (like plants vs. zombies), but it saves your place and takes up ram/battery. Could that be it?

One M130 stock recovery, coming right up
the back up should be the stock recovery. unless you have tried to install gnm recovery a second time. that means that you installed it the first time then did it it a second time with out installing the stock first. you all way install the backed up recovery and see it will boot into it. if you cant and all you get is the triangle with the android guy then you are stock.

I actually was just linking you guys directly from another thread that I made. I explained it in this thread. I did not get it from GNM, but Onandroid.

I have been doing some testing with this ROM and need to know. The ROM version that you have, does the GPS icon come up, if you go to settings->about phone->battery use->click on graph, does a space for "GPS ON" come up, and does the GPS aquire a lock?

Thanks for the response Willster419. At times I have forgotten my charger on road trips so with the stock ROM I would kill the wireless 3g network so that the phone lasts longer. I lose about 5 percent per hour of battery with the 3g off. With the stock ROM I could keep the 3g off and the phone would last for days. On the flip side with 3g on the phone seems to last twice as long as with the stock ROM.

Not really a issue just something I noticed. Battery has been lasting much better with the new ROM.

Where do I find the ROM version?? I am not on the computer that I used to flash the phone.

There is no spot on the graph for GPS. I only turned on the standalone GPS.

That is an interesting discovery. When I meant "ROM Version" I meant my older "beta" version. I managed to (i think) find and fix the problem. I am posting the new version now.

Loving the red theme on my c771. I just refurbished another c771 and wanted to try your blue theme GSE.

How do you install your Blue rom Gangnam style? I keep running into an error saying that I do not have enough space. The only way i am able get enough space is wipe the /system. But when it installs, I am unable to get it to get past the boot screen?

The most I can get is 20mb showing up on recovery, wipe everything else short of /system.

I put the enough space error in there for a reason, that being that if you don't have enough space, the phone will reboot before it damages itself. Wiping the system is NOT RECCOMMENDED. That wont work anyway because GSE is a theme, not a rom. If you were able to get your phone working again, you need to boot it fully, and remove some system apps that you don't use, or convert them to user apps.
You also need to install the bootanimationrestore.zip as well, so it will make psy dance.

I have root and GNM recovery on a custom m030 build. Will this rom work on top of that? I ask b/c I saw a post here concerning no baseband comeing from m50

do you mean M130, or M30? If you meant M130, it will work fine. If you meant M30, you will loose the radio on the phone (no calling and messaging and data)
