Root [Sprint] Digiblur Note2 ROM - MK4 Deodex Rom updated 1-23-14

Thanks doc. I did the same thing last night and it didnt work. Today it DID work.

Now another problem. My proximity sensor isnt acting right. I pull the phone away from my face and it the screen doesnt come back on. Been doing it for 2 weeks now. Did all the obvious wipes and re-flashes. Even flashed another TW rom and still the same thing. Ive noticed my keyboard is acting weird too. Im having a lot of miscues while typing. Almost like the keys are off or something. Any suggestions?

First thing i would look at is what apps you have installed, key board, themes etc, anything that was added to the rom, the proximity sensor can be kinda of funky sometimes. But i would look at whats running in the back ground that could be causing it. Wipe your dalivk cache, i actually run a program that wipes my cache every 30 minutes, it keeps it fresh, frees memeory etc.

I havent added or removed anything I a while. Maybe I'll run the unroot mc2 zip and start fresh.

Um, I may have to flash now, I'm still getting the odd reboot on Sleshes Rom, and still getting the incoming call delay too, so might just have to test drive this newer version.

Well got to say ran it all day, took about 2 dozen calls, everything works great, no reboots, no delays so looks like I have a new daily lol....

Were you getting reboots on the other Rom, and delays on incoming calls ?

Also no special instructions for install, just do a full wipe and flash, also I;m still using TWRP, wonder if I should switch to Philz, so far I've had no issues on TWRP, but just checking incase.

I didn't get any reboots or delayed calls on the last three I have put on but you are correct it seems the TWRP doesn't like 4.3 on backups, so I have put Philz recovery on and it works extremely well.

I haven't tested the hotspot yet but its there and engages, but everything works very well and very smooth just like his 4.1.2 version, no bloat, install and booted the first time with no issues..

Let me know what you think.....

K I will flash it tomorrow, just didn't want to change recovery as all my other backups including my original stock backup is on TWRP so didn't want to have to switch between recoveries but I guess I have no choice. I will test it with TWRP first and see and if I have issues with backups then I will fash Philz

Ok, she's all flashed and set up now this time I choose not to restore my SMS and Call Log back up in case they were causing the reboots. So far smooth as silk :thumbup:

I did try the new Hangouts for testing, but even though the native app is turned off, and notification is checked it still does not notify me on hangouts.

Well third day on this and im really liking it, it is a little slow in switching from 3g to 4g and not all the time, it seems sprint is updating the Portland areas 4LTE so that could be the issue there but loving it so far lol.....

Doc, when you get a chance, can you install Textra SMS app, and let me know if you are able to add smilies to a text and add attachments to a text through the app, I emailed the Dev and we are trying to find out if it is a related app causing my issue or the ROM. But he says it happens to some and not others and he is trying to find the related issue.

OK, same here, I also got my first reboot, I am assuming it is related to this app. Too bad i really like that text app, well time to move on and will check it another time if he comes with a new release or update. Thanks for checking.
