Has anyone received the kitkat update OTA yet?

^^He's totally not kidding.

I'm running a custom ROM on mine, so I'll flash the images manually over the weekend. Once Mrs Presidente has settled I'll go and have a look at hers (she told me there's a weird icon in the status bar which I'm presuming is the update notification).
^^^jerk:p

Mrs. Presidente is exempt from my admonishment however.:);)

Wow... it's been 10 days and it seems that many of us are still waiting for KitKat. How long is this rollout supposed to take?

It varies, but the rollout was held up due to bugs in the initial release AFAIK.

That gives some good insight in how OTAs are supposed to roll :)

I just accepted the OTA on my other halfs device. It's late here, I'll have a mess about tomorrow.

I received it yesterday afternoon. Some minor differences but now it seems to be have a noticeable lag. Its not constant just every now and then. The only thing else I did was change from boat back to chrome. I've been deleting apps that I don't use any more. I think I'm going back to boat or maybe looking at another browser

Indeed. As for browsers, it's a matter of taste more than anything else. I use Chrome for preference, although I used Boat in the days of the old un-named "stock" browser.

I don't want or need Flash and Chrome checks all the other boxes for me, with good performance and (most importantly for me) synchronised passwords/bookmarks/etc with all my other devices no matter what their OS - I use Android, Windows, ChromeOS, Linux... which does away with the need of third-party apps and plugins to achieve similar functionality with other browsers.

I couldn't easily go back to not having the ability to move to another device and continue where I left off with a simple click/tap, but as I said it's all a matter of personal preferences and priorities.
