Root [Boost Mobile] 4.3 is here

Good news to people. They've got a Rooted 4.3 stock ROM that's ready to flash. The major drawback is that some of our favorite ROMs aren't compatible yet.

I don't know about you guys but I'll move when I can run my favorite ROMs. From what other are saying who already have the update, it's really nothing to write home about.

There's a lot going on with the update right now so be patient. We'll have a safe version to flash with our favorite custom ROMs before long.

Jdsingle76 says it doesn't distinguish between Boost or VM basebands so it should work with both. I've been keeping an eye on him for a few days now. It's looking good since Samsung released its source and he's been working on it. :D:thumbup:

I haven't forgotten about you guys. Just got the zip, going to see what I can do over the next few days. Just have to tread lightly, to try and get rid of Knox bootloader. I have the stock kernel built, so we're getting there :) Thanks for keeping AF updated @wetbiker7. Keep checking XDA bro, I'll update as things progress.

There is no worry about Knox on my build, because I deleted the bootloader from the update.zip. Additionally, if you flash the App remover from the XDA OP, you'll get rid of the rest of the crap that's in there related to Knox. Glad it's working for you @bshunt29. It is pretty sweet. And @johnbobie, if you installed with Kies, you are now stuck on 4.3, because you can not downgrade, nor can you flash custom roms. If you try, you'll most likely brick and have a very expensive paperweight. And no change is needed to any update script, just flash from the OP and enjoy :)

You're not the first I've heard say this... did they block download mode? If not why can't we just odin back to stock md7, it has all the partitions?

From what I've read at XDA if you take the 4.3 OTA or Official update through Kies, then re-root with Odin it triggers the Knox warranty bit which can't be reversed at this time. Also, if you then flash a rom that contains the old boot loader from 4.1.2 you will brick the phone. If you like your phone the way it is now as far as rooting and installing any custom rom, plus the ability to roll everything back to stock in case you need to warranty it then DO NOT INSTALL 4.3 OTA or through Kies. Only flash the patched up update with Knox and all that crap removed.

CNexus has a good write up about it here: [FAQ] KNOX and you - xda-developers

I've been pretty happy with this phone so far and have been putting off rooting it but to me it looks like now is the time if I ever want root. Maybe tomorrow I'll have time.

Ok, I have a few questions I'm hoping someone can clear up for me. First off, I am on Boost mobile with rooted and running a custom 4.1 rom. I have tried flashing two different 4.3 custom roms and everything works good except my data. There are times when I don't have data (right after flashing) and then at times I do have data but when I turn my wifi on and then when I go out of range of my network, somehow it messes with my data and I have no data. This is why I am currently on a 4.1 rom.
My questions are, since this update (4.3) by boost, sprint is out, I know were not suppose to take it being rooted and running a custom rom but do the developers of these already created custom roms have to incorporate this update into their roms or do they need to start from scratch to build another rom with this update in it?? I would like to use a 4.3 rom as my daily but the custom roms I have tried I am having issues with. I have seen some posts where there is a stock version of this update out. Does this stock version have all the knox files gone? I really like a couple of the custom roms but I have tried multiple times to use them with the same mentioned issues. If this update is incorpoated into these roms, I certainly would be willing to try using them again, maybe the update would solve the data issues I'm having on 4.3 roms. If anyone can shed some light on this it would be greatly appreciated.

Knox-free and very smooth if you want stock/rooted 4.3.
