I did a search on Moto X cases in the forum and was surprised to not find anything. So here we go, I need to get something on this phone. What are your favorite cases for the Moto X, tanks and minimalist? I'm thinking about these two.

Amazon.com: i-Blason Motorola Moto X Prime Series Dual Layer Holster Case with Kickstand and Locking Belt Swivel Clip (Black): Cell Phones & Accessories

Amazon.com: Diztronic High Gloss Clear (Frosted Matte Inside) Flexible TPU Case for Moto X / Motorola X Phone (2013) - Retail Packaging: Cell Phones & Accessories

There are a lot of little holes in this phone and I don't want something to get covered up.

I am pretty sure any Moto X case you buy will leave all the functions of the phone available for your use. This would only be a problem if you just bought a generic "smartphone" case. But you if you get one made for the Moto X, there shouldn't be any problems.

Also, what kind of case do you want? TPU only? A hard slim case? Or do you want a case that protects the phone from falling off a mountain. Let us no exactly what you want and we can easily point you in the right direction.

I have the Pro Shell hard case by InCase. It's a combination of clear, hard plastic and rubber. It still fits really well in the hand and the "M" dimple is not covered. The phone doesn't "snap in" the case as you might expect, but the case still has a tight grip. However, the might pop out of the case if dropped. I haven't dropped it yet.

I think the phone is sturdy enough to not need a case, but this case gives me that extra confidence.

I picked up the Incipio case Verizon sells. It has the M4DE marking on the package meaning it will work with Motorola's docks (I think). It fits the phone well and doesn't add a significant amount of bulk, allowing me to still slip the phone in the same pocket as my wallet.

Seidio makes good stuff, I had one of theirs on my Thunderbolt.

I didn't use it all that much. the usability of it was diminished by the fact that the charge port was placed on the side of the phone that rests on the table when using the kickstand. The one time I used it (watching a cached movie on a plane) I lost the ability to use it halfway through when I had to plug in (using my Acer tablet as an external battery of sorts since I couldn't cache to the tablet for some reason).

This is the Incipio Verizon sells..

I went online after buying the phone and bought four or five different cases. I have settled on the Diztronic. The only thing it does is cover up the "M" in the back. I also bought the blue Bear Motion case but it doesn't fit snuggly on the phone. But I would stick with the Diztronic. All the cases are fine with exposing all the holes on the phone.

+1 bear motion

Never really had a case this like before. Very slim and the feel is like...soft sandpaper? or umm harder suede?

Anyway, its not completely bulletproof but its still gives some protection while giving you a good grip and still remaining slim.

So far, anyone that looks and feels it is very surprised that they really like it.

I have a white/white/silver buttons moto x...so a grey (cement color) bear motion case looks sick and very unique.

I gotta say, that case looks really good on this phone.

I have tried the poetic palette case and the supcase for the moto x and have/will return each. I am VERY picky when it come to cases, and this is my opinion only, so take it for what it's worth. I like something thin that offers some protection vet does not feel like a wet bar of soap that will shoot out of my hands.

The Poetic Palette didn't protect the corners of the case, did not wrap around the phone the way I was hoping, and made it difficult to access the volume and power buttons. It didn't have the nice balance of grip and slide into/out of pocket accessibility coupled with protection factors I was looking for so I returned it.

The supcase is OK. There's a TPU edge that provides some grip coupled with a hard plastic back but the TPU sides are a little sharp at the transitions for my tastes. They may wear in but out of the box I was not impressed.

I have a speck candy shell on order. The wife has one on her iSheep and it seemed to be a god balance of protection and lightweight. The plastic on the iPhone speck candyshell is glossy but not as slippery as I wold have anticipated so I ordered one for my moto x. It should be here tomorrow (gotta love amazon prime) and I will update once I try it out.

Update:
I received the Speck candyshell and it offers good protection without too much bulk but is a real pain to remove from the phone. I was afraid I was going to crack the screen when trying to pry it off the phone. I use a dock at night and needed to remove the case to properly insert the phone in the dock. If you don't need to remove the case frequently and can tolerate a modicum of bulk added to the phone this case would work well. One thing my wife likes about this case is that she can set the phone face down on her laptop when walking between different meeting at work and the rubber around the face will help keep her phone on the laptop.

I also ordered an incipio feather and will likely use this as my daily case. It is very minimalistic and does not offer a lot of protection (corners are partially exposed but better than the poetic pallete I previously tried) but enough for my casual use.

If the speck candyshell was easier to remove that might be my daily case due to the added protection as my infant son loves to grab cell phones and play with them. Right now it's just oo much of a pain to remove so I'll use the incipio feather for daily use.

ill have to check my camera, but I really like the air jacket I got from motorolla, ive tried most available.

Have you tried the griffin reveal case too? I'd be interested in knowing how it compares to the air jacket. I just bought a moto x and am trying to decide on a case that adds minimal bulk but provides some degree of protection. It would great if such a case would also fit car and desk docs too. I hate the thought of constantly having to remove the case to use a dock. Thanks!
