when i check the box "scheduled software updates" , i get the following message:

Each update does not require your confirmation. You can schedule the installation time for when you want. All versions will be downloaded in sequential order until your device is up to date. You must turn on Wi-Fi and plug in your charger during the scheduled software updates.

i have a few questions before i proceed. first, if i check this option, is there anyway to uncheck it later? since it won't require my confirmation anymore. second, where can i actually set the schedule?

thanks

Why not hit the install option without checking the box?

Before you do, keep in mind some people have had some issues with 4.3 and Samsung is working on fixes, but they may be a while. My main issue is that my phone is now picky about the USB cable used to charge the phone. It needs to be a heavier gauge wire for the power wires.

It installs the firmware update that has been downloaded to your device.

The, "schedule", is decided by your carrier as to when they release a firmware update for your device and therefore is not user configurable, save for un-checking the options in the next paragraph below.

To enable or disable, see post #36 of your thread entitled will OTA work without sim card?

Correct! We are talking at cross purposes on that. I was referring to the fact that you cannot schedule when updates are released to you but as you point out, once they are downloaded you can schedule when they are installed, say, overnight or when your phone is plugged in or fully charged.
