Hey guys

Looking at getting the new samsung galaxy note 10.1 2014 edition and as a regular live sport streamer just had a quick question about whether you can get the flash player working on this also? i know on my current 10.1 i had to download an earlier version of the flash player to get it working.

Any help would be much appreciated

OK... I found a topic on another site that said to load Adobe Flash Player for Galaxy Note 10.1 (install_flash_player_ics (10).apk) and to also load Firefox, Phony Plugin for Firefox... I downloaded the player and tried to install... said the installation was blocked because it did not come from Google Play... anyway to get around that or is there a Flash Player from Google Play that will work with Firefox? I'm struggling here... so any help would be appreciated....

Also struggling with this one. I've tried all the tips, tricks, and instructions on this thread, and still cannot get FLASH working on my Galaxy 2014 10.1. Has anybody ever actually gotten FLASH to work on "this specific device"? If so ... please share. If you're just giving a generic Android answer ... don't bother. Thanks.

Thomh ... survey says ... "BUZZZZZ" !!!

This is yet another generic "Android Answer". The Galaxy Note 2014 ships with Android 4.3, and the site you're aiming at clearly states that Adobe won't support beyond 4.0 (which is the last one on the site.

I tried loading the latest 4.0 and it doesn't work.

Care to take another crack at that one?

Do you actually own a 2014-10.1 with Android 4.3 on it?

Thomh.... Hey.. thanks tons... OK... so I am the one that is in the slow group and this is getting me one step closer to being able to watch Flash videos/movies on my 2014 edition of the 10.1 Soooo, since the newest Note 10.1 is on Android 4.3 which one of those listed in the archive should I load and try? I am ready to do it... and since you have one of these new Notes... which one is correct... and I DO REALLY APPRECIATE YOUR HELP.... as I am a newbie and want to get it correct on the first get-go...

Not trying to be rude or childish. Just trying to get a real answer.

I now have it.

Adobe (and multiple other independent sources) have confirmed that their Flash product is not supported and won't work on Android systems above Version 4.0 (2014 10.1 runs 4.3). I specifically asked about all browser forms, and they said it will not work on either EI or Firefox. They showed me the KB articles and forum posts on Adobe.com that explicitly state that it won't work and is not supported.

I'm very surprised, in the light of that, that Thomh got it working ... especially when all the evidence, and live tech support from Adobe ... states the opposite.

I'd love to hear that someone other than Thomh was it working on a Samsung Galaxy 2014 10.1 with Android 4.3 OS ... and how you got it to work.

Sorry Thomh ... I need some verification here. Following your steps doesn't work, and I now know why.

Thomh ... dude ... I owe you an apology. It "sort of" worked for me ... let me explain.

See ... almost the only reason I wanted Flash on my 2014 10.1 was to watch NFL Sunday Ticket on Direct TV. Every time I'd try your proposal ... I'd get an error that Flash wasn't installed.

Then I went to other Flash sites and realized it was working all along. I got some help from Direct TV, and was told that Flash Version 11.5 was required for all Direct TV NFL content (other streaming video there works just fine ... it's not Flash).

You were right ... that 11.1 works for older Flash content.

The screwed up part is that Adobe has ceased all support for Android with that most recent 11.1 release, and any newly developed Flash content in more recent versions ... won't work. I wonder why Adobe would cut themselves off from the future of Android operating systems. There must be a reason, but I can't see it. Maybe Microsoft is muscling them. Hard to believe it could be Apple.

Anyway ... thanks for the help getting this far. Looks like my NFL Sunday Ticket will never work on my 2014 10.1.
