I see how the bottom of the back on the HTC One V comes off revealing what I believe is the SD card slot. But where is the slot for the SIM card and where is the battery and how do you get to it?

The SIM is a miniSIM, so look for a slot about as large as the SD card slot. (I don't know the phone, but the SIM card could sit right under or right over the SD card.)

I went to youtube and found a video and it shows where the minisim would go, but I think that since this is a VM phone that maybe the sim is part of the motherboard, or under the case where it can't be opened.
Yet, when I type in the MEID at Straight Talk it says that I can use this phone with ST.

Virgin mobile OneV is CDMA and does not have a SIM slot
Only carrier known to flash over to that I know of is cricket,
