Got a GNex now, and it is on its final legs...wondering how the moto x's reception compares. I've loved my GNex for everthing but the reception; specifically swapping towers and switching from 3 to 4g and back. How does the Moto X do? Heard great things otherwise, but nothing that address this.

no matter the carrier the radio in the Moto X will make you wonder why you put up with the Gnex for so long. It's like night and day.

Even the WiFi is faster.

A lot of this is due to it being a much faster phone all around though.

I have tested a VZW Gnex right next to a VZW Moto X and the Moto toasted the Gnex

like 10Mbps to 2Mbps or something. (i cant remember the exact numbers)

Something I noticed while jumping on and off airplanes for the past couple days, the Moto X picks up its signal much faster than the GNex. With the GNex, popping it out of airplane mode usually resulted in me dropping it back into my pocket for a couple minutes instead of staring at it, waiting for it to pick up a signal.

With the Moto X, sometimes it'd have a signal before I got the app I wanted open.

Another Verizon Gnex to Moto X'er here.
What a device! Limited experience w/ other phones but what an upgrade. Sooo smooth.
Loved my Gnex but could feel it was time. The Moto X feels like a follow up model to me.
All for a penny too! and 2yrs of course

Signal strength is as good or better all around for me.

Is there a good free alternative to the trialware Caller Name ID? Kinda like what it does but not the rest.
