Root [ROM][MS870][LOKI] Samurai ROM

Go to the first page in this thread and download the samurai zip file and then follow the instructions on the first page and you'll be good to go

I have the samurai file on my lg spirit sd card and it has been resetted. It says extracting(100%) and its stuck there. Everytime I go into recovery mode it automatically loads the stock system. The phone is rooted btw.

Extracting what lol you don't extract anything just flash with cwm from ROM manager

so once I have it downloaded, I use ROM manager to install all of it?

I used ROM manager and put the zip folder there and the phone reboots but comes up with the same old ROM, not the samurai. I've done this twice

I don't use rom manager since I prefer the manual way. Here's a simple guide which is also the only way you're truly gonna learn to flash all sorts of things on any phone...

(optional) Backup apps, call logs, and messages with Titanium
Place rom zip in SD or external SD (preferably external SD)
Install Quick Boot app and use it to boot into recovery
Once in recovery, do a backup
Wipe data/factory reset
Wipe cache
Advanced - Wipe dalvik cache
Install zip from SD or external SD
First boot takes a couple minutes (don't panic) this is normal on first boot to rebuild dalvik cache.
(optional) Once the rom is installed you can restore apps, call log, and messages that you backed up with titanium.

This guide is assuming you have flashed PG's recovery zip called "Spirit-CWMT.zip" found Here.

Note:
You can also watch youtube videos from people flashing roms to different phones so that you can at least get familiar with the process.

Was gonna link him those, but 2nd-init not a good idea anymore.

You should make a revised version for official recovery though lol.

Don't change the guide in your link though since Icy has 2nd-init.

well he has to install 2nd first to even flash the official recovery

PG's AIO root & recovery also installs official recovery in windows, mac, or linux (great for noobs). In case you make that guide for official. :rolleyes:

He says it installs 2nd-init because he only updated the package, but not the post. It installs official though.

Game theory, how do I apply the kit Kat theme on this ROM? I got it installed properly btw lol

Hi GT. Sorry if i come in to wrong thread I'm user LG Lucid 2, can you built deodexed rom for lg lucid 2, i want to try some your mods for lg spirit 4g like themes. I think the themes for lg spirit 4g works for lg lucid 2. But the problem lg the rom is odexed. I don't find any deodexed rom in other forum.. So please built deodexed rom
Last request make costum kernel for lg lucid 2 for detect OTG or oc the procie

Does Bluetooth work? I just bought a Bluetooth game pad and it doesn't seem to be working, wondering if it's the ROM or just the Spirit in general.

Definitely not the ROM.I use bluethooth to play my music while I'm on the road and it works flawless.

This phone has been a problem with game pads since before we had roms lol. Someone posted a way to use game pads on another thread, but that was months ago. No way I'll find that lol.

I use a bluetooth Headset for music and telephone. It works fine. I've never expected to see a request for a gamepad, but I'd point you in the direction of the settings screen - Check to ensure it's paired up and set for whatever you're using for.
