*******************

Chromasphere is currently available in the IKOID Android bundle, along with Burn the Rope+, Age of Conquest: Europe, Megacity, with the possibility of two more games (Beekyr HD, Simple Rockets) being unlocked if the bundle gains 150+ likes, tweets or adds on Google+.

Check it out here: http://www.ikoid.com/

I'd like to introduce ChromaSphere, a full 3d action/arcade game with a hint of puzzle for Android 2.1+. It's in Beta at the moment and will continue to grow and change over the next few months. It's up on the Android Market so I can get feedback and improve the game as I work it to completion, so please, if you have some spare time, download the free version, try it out and hopefully enjoy it. But most of all, if there's something you don't like, something in a level, the menu, whatever; let me know. Thank you for your time.

Good looking game with nice music. Runs very smooth on my Evo 3D. Is there any way to change the calibration on it at all? When starting out with the phone flat it is kind of annoying to have to lean over to see my screen well when trying to roll forward. Maybe have the starting point be around a 30-45 degree angle so that when you are rolling forward the screen is actually flat instead of tilting away. That's the only issue I have run into. Very nicely done.

Thanks for your kind words, diestarbucks. Glad it runs well for you. :)

Yeah, this is something I've looked into during the development and may do again. :)

Without going into too much detail, (it's a bit hard for me to explain tbh) using the "flat" position for the device as the "joystick deadzone" doesn't require something extra on the screen to tell the player how far they have tilted away from the deadzone. It's also a relatively easy position to find so you can concentrate on whats going on, rather than, for example, trying to centre a dot somewhere else on the screen. In the later levels, knowing intuitively where the deadzone is, is key to not falling off moving platforms and narrow ledges.

What I might do is provide sliders in the options page so the player can adjust the amount of tilt needed to move.

The development version (PC) uses an xbox360 controller, so perhaps adding on-screen joysticks might also be an option. Its just that I hate on-screen joysticks! :)

Anyway, thanks again for your comments. Let me know what you think.

I completely understand about the deadzone being flat being easiest of the options as a point of reference. I'm honestly not a big fan of on-screen joysticks either so I think adjustment sliders might be a good way to go if you decide to tweak it any. The game really does look, move, and sound great. Looks like you put a lot of work into it.
