Does the metal bumper affect GPS? Also curious if you can actually remove the battery cover without taking off the bumper? I've been considering getting one of those, but have been hesitant since I had issues with the chrome plated battery cover.
If you can test out the navigation at some point, I'd really appreciate it. Really like the way that looks, but have held off simply due to my using Nav all the time and having concerns about any cases/back covers that affect the use of nav (like the simple chrome plated back cover did for me).

Been using the otterbox defender for about a month. S pen comes out just fine for me. Not a fan of the screen protector, not bad, but makes the screen ugly.
I popped the screen protector out of my otterbox before I even put it on. The N3 has gorilla glass 3 in it. I didn't think I needed the built in protector.

I had the Nokia N8 before, which also had Gorilla Glass.
(Yes, i know the Note 3 has Gorilla Glass 3 vs the N8's Gorilla Glass 1)
I dont know how or when it happened, but the N8's screen has a 4cm long, deep scratch in the middle of the screen.
So, I will not be taking any chances with the Note 3.
Going to slap a Spigen GLAS.tR on it as soon as it arrives
Well, could always give me your phone and I'll slide it face down on a sidewalk to you and just before I'll ask whether or not you want me to put a screen protector on it and see what you choose.
Well that's kind of a weird thing to say but whatever floats your boat. With the otterbox defender on the phone you can slide it all day if you want and the screen will never touch the pavement. The only thing that will get to your phone are your fingers and anything in your pocket if you pocket carry (which I don't). I did use the screen protector in the otterbox on my last phone an htc 4g lte and it was ok but after a while it started to bug me. I've never scratched a screen on a phone so at least for me it isn't a big deal. I'm ok with the risk.
I also don't carry insurance on the phone either. Quite the rebel I am I guess.
