I tried flashing cwm touch using ROM manager but it says it can't download from server...how do you flash cwm touch manually with twrp installed...its been a long time since I used it and never on this phone...

You can use this app to flash recovery https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.mkrtchyan.recoverytools right now I'm using philz touch recovery it's made for the sprint s3 but also works for Metro s3.

Just a quick warning....don't use the 12-20 nightly. I was using the 12-18 nightly and had no problems. Upgraded to the 12-20 nightly and have run into all sorts of issues with the screen not properly updating and just randomly going blank. There are now several new nightly's after 12-20 and I am trying to download the one dated 12-22 right now but it appears that the server they are housed on is having issues and the download is going horrifically slow. If I ever get it downloaded I will flash it and will report back on if it fixes the problems I ran into with the 12-20 nightly. If you want to play it safe for right now though I would highly recommend that you just stay with 12-18 since I know it is the last one that worked very well for me.

When I flash a nightly I simply do a wipe on the cache and dalvik cache first and then flash the nightly. Of course you have to follow that with the gapps again but that is it.

It took forever for me to download the 12-22 nightly but I finally got it downloaded and flashed between midnight and 1am. My phone has been running it since then and so far so good. I have not run into the display issues had had been getting after flashing the 12-20 nightly. Those display issues were somewhat random though and I have not been running this new nightly a very long time so I cannot say with 100% certainty that this new nightly fixed it. It is looking good so far though.

Wipe cache and dalvik flash ROM repeat and flash gapps...but when I did that the launcher was not Google experience and it just felt slow...I tried fixing permissions but to no luck...so I'm still at 12-15 nightly...

I don't understand that as well because the ROM only comes with the Google launcher installed. I installed Nova on my phone but I know that I installed both the launcher apk and the license apk because both apk's reside in the user data area and not the system data area. So I have not run into a similar problem because Nova is set as my default launcher and because it sits it the user data, a flash of a nightly does not affect it. I know you have already reverted back to the 12-15 nightly but you might want to try flashing the 12-22 nightly and seeing what happens. Just ensure you make a nandroid backup through your recovery so you can easily revert back to 12-15 if things go screwy. The 12-22 nightly has been very stable for me and while there is now a 12-23 nightly, I don't know how stable it is so don't use that one for this test. Once you backup and then flash the 12-22 nightly and your phone has rebooted go to the root of the system settings and the first menu option listed under the heading of "Device" will be "Home". Go into that menu and you will see any and all launchers that are installed listed there. This is where you can easily switch from launcher to launcher in 4.4.x but in your case there should only be one listed and it should simply be titled "Launcher". As long as there is only one listed you can then go into the "Apps" menu and then go to either the running or all listing for your apps scroll down until you find "Launcher". Tap on it and make sure it's version number is 0.10.1.920880. If that is all correct, then you should be fine. If more than one launcher is listed under the "Home" menu then ensure that "Launcher" is the one selected and then think about what that other launcher might be. Did you have another launcher installed in your user/data area with the ROM you were using before moving to Gummy? Did you do a blanket restore of your user apps and data from an app like Titanium Backup after you first moved to this new ROM? If so, you probably restored that launcher when you restored your other user apps and data. In the past I have run across other 3rd party launchers that name their apk "Launcher". Since there are two Launcher apk's yet they have different identifiers within the system (version number, size etc...), Android is most likely properly seeing them as different products and not the one in the user data area being an upgrade. Android may have gotten confused though when going to launch the default launcher (poor coding at that point) and it set the default to the other apk and not the Google launcher. This is all conjecture though and I am writing simply to give you an example of what you need to be thinking about if there are more than two launchers listed. I know that I installed Nova and the only other Launcher on my phone is the Google launcher so if you have not knowingly installed another launcher, you should only see one launcher. There has to be a logical explanation somewhere in the puzzle if you see more than one. Determining that explanation will be the real puzzle. Of course if you only have the one Launcher after flashing the 12-22 nightly and things are working well, then this all becomes a moot point and just write it off to a faulty nightly. Why drive yourself crazy if you don't have to? ;)
