4.3 update Discussion and issues HERE !!!

Although Verizon didn't push 4.3 update yet, and I keep hearing about all the problems with 4.3 from other N2 users (thanks Neo for keeping up with detailed updates!), I still need it desperately since BT4.0 + BLE was finally implemented with this update, and all the new smartwatch devices utilize bluetooth low energy with new push features from "master" smartphone.

Until then, still "rocking" my N2 with 4.1.2 while my other Nexus 7 HD just got 4.4.2 update

Verizon N2 here with the rooted "Beans" 4.3 edition and no problems at all.

Colchiro, Thanks for the info. I have been waiting on Verizon to update to 4.3 since black Friday when I received a galaxy gear smartwatch. Tired of waiting on them. I think it is time to go ahead and root my n2 and move on.

I got the 4.3 update this morning and it failed. My phone was rooted and I learned that was most likely the issue. So I unrooted and now when I check for update it shows the system being up to date, but it isn't 4.3. Will the 4.3 update show up again ever? Thanks in advance.

I suspect it was a minor update. Probably a security update or bug fix. Other method would be to check through KIES and see. The update should be around 700MB if done OTA. If the file was smaller than that, it's not 4.3.

Because I use the mobile version of this app and as far as I am aware it doesn't show that information, happy to be corrected though by a guru such as yourself?

NeoGrandizer: I believe you are correct. I have my Note 2 with Verizon and got that update yesterday. In fact several on different forums have mentioned that this update made them think the 4.3 was coming in but it's not that. My download was fairly large yesterday, but again wasn't 4.3... I wish it was, I have had the Galaxy Gear for almost 2 weeks now....

Sorry to have posted in such a rush yesterday, it was while I was headed for work, unfortunately today is the same.

Well the system had said it was update 4.3. I assume it had already downloaded in my sleep because it almost automatically rebooted after selecting. If this is the case, is it possible to access the update files manually somehow? And might this be the reason when I manually search for the update it thinks the system is up-to-date?

Although after reading all the horror stories. Now I'm a bit skeptical to update to 4.3 myself.

P.s. I've never messed with kies, I'd have to read up on it I suppose.

Hopefully, this is 4.3 for the the UK.....The OTA update is around 698 mb so it looks as if we've finally got it!

Just installed the update, it is 4.3. I am in the UK unlocked. Not noticed much difference just yet.

Only had it an hour or so but like it. Feels quicker and I like the settings menus. Not tried Knox and barely played with wallet.
Battery usage feels similar. Nothing has fc yet.

Looks like ATT is rolling out 4.3 today. Now if we can just get Verizon to do the same.

Yeah most of Europe got the update over the last couple of days but as I just got the Note 3 and my good lady has my Note 2 now, I will still hold out before updating it just to see if there are any more issues, its running fine now and she's really taken to it so if I update and it and it freaks out on her, my life would be hell!
But if the recent guys with 4.3 could keep us updated that would be nice

Would someone who has updated their N2 to 4.3 please check the S-Note app to see whether or not it can still solve mathematical formulae. That is, do any of the menus have the 'Formula Match' icon lurking among them?

For those not familiar with it, the icon consists of the outline of a square with 'f(x)' at the bottom right hand side. It allows one to write mathematical formulae in free hand and then solve them.

I have a Note 10.1, 2014, that is on 4.3 but try as I will I cannot find 'Formula Match' on it. I have also tried to do so on a Note 3 in a shop but again without success.

Anybody have a problem when on the Internet or instagram with the pictures looking all pixilated and blocky? Looks horrible and I can't figure out how to adjust it so it looks normal like it did before the update it's driving me insane! Any suggestions or input? I'm going to do a hard reset on my phone today I guess, my battery has been draining like no other since the update as well not to mention a few hours after the update my sd card magically took a Shit and stopped working completely and I lost almost 1000 pics

but I'm still trying to get this horrible pixel picture deal fixed
