Help hangouts LED

I am using the new Google hangouts and wanted to know why i don't get a led notification when i get a txt from it. Is there a way for me to turn it on

Is your LED working with any 3rd party app, currently?

Edit/Add: did you used to use GoSMS or other 3rd party SMS/Text apps? Are they still installed?

I get a notification with Hangouts (messages anyway). Texts certainly flash as well.
Are you getting anything in the notification bar? Are notifications turned on?

yea i get the txt in the notification bar but the led notification doesn't do anything

Klotar: before this i only used the stock app

I use Light Flow and it works perfectly with all notifications.

You can try Lightflow to handle it but it may be Hangouts. I saw a similar issue after updating Hangouts and turning on SMS. After about a week of use with the new SMS, I wasn't getting notification anymore; plus some of my incoming texts were getting delayed by several hours. This was a serious issue for me because I missed some work notes. I ended up having to turn off SMS in Hangouts and go back to the stock LG SMS app. All is normal again.

the way i resolves this problem was to switch to aosp but now im back to stock and back to this problem. i tried 3rd party apps but none seem to work only the built in LED manager works, but i cant get hangouts to activate the LED notification.

any help?

This work in my LG G2., go to stock sms settings and turn off notifications

i know my girl friend does not have a phone at the moment and shes using hangouts to txt me that's why im using it. if it was not for that i would agree with you and switch to textra

I get default color led notifications in hangouts (Verizon variant). There are notification options in settings for both. I disabled notifications in stock messenger. Have done nothing else.
