Met my old boss last night for some drinks and small bites at a place called Barcelona:

Ironically, right across the street from the place I work for.
Pretty tasty. We had a few small plates and then after talking "shop" with one of their employees, she hooked us up with a couple more for free. One not on the menu, roasted shishitso peppers. Were so goooood.
It's nice being in the industry, being friendly and chatty, and getting hookups at restaurants. :thumb:

I'm afraid I'm hooking myself up yet again tonight. I'm making some hamburger steaks and grilling them out. Hamburger, diced onion, garlic, crackers, egg, and some of my bbq rub. To compliment the steak i'm fixing some rice and broccoli in some cheese sauce. Naturally some hot wheat buns, shamefully purchased, will be slathered in butter to complete the meal.

I was plenty thin! 
Tonight, veggie burgers on brioche buns I brought from work. Oven baked fries and green beans with pearl onions. Marginally healthy depending on the toppings we add.

The weather here is uncommonly beautiful so I'm taking full advantage. I'm grilling out some KC strips, baking potatoes, and tossing a fresh salad for dinner. I have the steaks marinating in grill spices and some beer awaiting the flame as I type.

Either gonna make a really yummy chef salad for all, with lots of different cheeses, and ham and bacon, and boiled eggs, and lots of healthy veggies topped with our favorite dressings, and crispy buttery croutons,.....OR........a trip down to Five Guys for some really decadent burgers and fries. I am thinking Five Guys! Mmmmmmm.

A fresh vegs soup with mini meatballs in. Freshly baked whole wheat bread with seeds, and fresh butter with crushed walnuts in, for on the bread.

I'm grilling out burgers. I'll grill some onions in a foil pouch and add some cheese to the burgers. I'll either have some cottage cheese or three bean salad for a side. Both sound good.

So, I'm making a top sirloin roast with garlic gloves injected and a Montreal seasoning rub, dirty mashed potatoes boiled with garlic cloves to which I will mix milk, butter, and fresh Parmesan cheese. I'll have to go with flash frozen corn as a veggie side as fresh corn is gone this time of year.
