update:if you have updated to the mk2 the impactor will no longer get you root but the link be low will root you and its just as easy i did update with out useing root keeper and lost root so i tryed this and boom all good i did not make this my self im not the dev but if you google saferoot you will find all about it

update=goo manger will flash twrp but the bootloader is locked so im looking for 4.1.1 jellybean/ics boot loader maybe it will work

That wasn't the case for me. I downloaded "Root Keeper" from play store , made a backup of su then installed update then went back into the root keeper app and restored root.

If you have received the MK2 patch and lost root or just now thinking about rooting your Legend, There is still a way.

It's called Safe Root. It's designed for the S4 but it works on the Legend just fine. I failed to do restore root when the patch went to my phone, I consequently lost root, tried to root again with Cydia and V Root, and they both failed. After going through the search process again, I found Safe Root here:

Thanks to dev. k1mu for this great work.

I have made a request to the development at Twrp to compile one for the Legend. There is one for the Stellar so it shouldn't be a big deal for it to be done. I'll keep everyone posted as I get feedback on that

What method for rooting the I200PP Galaxy Legend (Stellar) would be recommended? Ive seen 3, and everyone says theirs works.

Also, is it going to be useable as normal?

Ive had rooted phones before, done them myself, and not afraid to do it. I just want to make sure that I am going to still be able to use my phone as I can now. Ive read a lot of bad things about Verizon and this phone.
