That font screen isn't an error! That's how LG displays the font size menu on most of their phones. If you want a different look to the notification area, then create a theme and share it with everyone. If your just nit-picking, then perhaps create your own rom to your liking.

Like I said before, I don't own this phone so I'm limited to what I can do for it.

Sorry I didn't mean to nitpick, just wanted to see what I could do to help since I have the phone and can test your ROM. I really do appreciate what you have done though.

My apologies for being lost but recently I updated to Verizon's VS87012A (big mistake, don't ask me why). This update un-rooted my phone so I went ahead and rolled back to VS87010 which allowed me to root the phone again. I then saw this post and wanted to install this ROM; however, I'm not having any luck. I use Titanium BU and rom manager and tried to install from the SD card but this process only put my phone into a recovered state, i.e the install failed. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

What I did is I installed the custom recovery, then went into that and wiped data/factory reset then installed from SD card. If you can't boot into your phone, then try the unbrick/unroot method, then flash the custom recovery, and root, then do the above steps to instal.

I'm sorry that doesn't help because I'm not sure of the exact steps. When you install from the SD card, you select the zip file correct? Is there more detailed instructions for this process? Plus Clockwork recovery does not recognize the LG Lucid 2? Again, sorry I'm so lost. I'm trying to figure this out through forums, google, and you tube, etc. Thanks.

Okay i'll try to write out a step by step process.

1. Make sure your phone can boot up, if you soft bricked it, read the sticky on how to unbrick it, then root the phone using the instructions in the stickies.

2. Download and instal this apk to your phone: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0By1SxJY5FEvyNXNHenc2ZGY5LU0/edit?usp=sharing

3. Open the app and apply the custom recovery.

4. Press the REBOOT button which will bring you into recovery mode.

5. Wipe data and do a factory reset in the recovery.

6. Select install from SD and select the ROM.zip file on your phone.

7. Let it flash, then reboot back into your phone regularly.

8. If you can't get past the activation process, turn your phone off, take the battery and SIM out and put them back in then restart the phone.

9. Activate your SIM, log into Google, etc.....Setup Wizard stuff.

10. Let your phone sit and update all your Google Play apps, including the Google Apps.

11. Restart the phone and you should be good to go!

Ha ok thanks. I wonder what the deal is... It would be nice to have foxfi, but I guess LG kind of sucks. Anyway, thanks for the ROM and I'll give it a try as soon as I can!

I did add init.d support to the kernel that comes with the rom though. I saw somewhere on the web a script to enable tethering for init.d supported kernels. You just place the init.d script in /system/etc/init.d and set perms to rwx-rwx-rwx then reboot to enable it.

Just search on google for init.d scripts or init.d tweaks or whatever else you see fit.

You should start a new thread for init.d scripts so that you can all share what you find and troubleshoot them if needed.

Why not read the first post where the rom is posted? It has the same common instructions listed used to install roms on most phones.

I am new to this forum and I googled some keywords to direct me to at least discovering a 'custom rom'. Why can't some one just copy and paste the link to save me all the trouble from searching how to properly install a custom rom, maybe even a Utube video or something... As far as I see it, there are no documents to teach people to do it, but misunderstood tutorials, and most videos use different phones with different applications.

I have KDZ_FW_UPS and UpTestEX_mod2_marwin with msxml installed, but that was for unbricking my other LG Lucid 2 which I ended up causing even more trouble down the line. (-_-)

Most videos use different phones and different applications because no Android phone is exactly like another. What will work for one will not for another. This phone is relatively new and there are not a lot of resources for it, BUT if you read carefully, the forum you are already in has detailed instructions for this particular phone.

You seem to want an easy solution, to not research and learn anything on your own, which is fine, that's your prerogative. But don't expect anyone to hold your hand through any process if you are not willing to learn about what it is you're doing first. That goes for this phone and life in general.

Ran into a small problem while trying to run zepplinrox's V6 Supercharger with SManager. Basically any version of busybox I try to install gives me errors like "cp: no such tool" when I attempt to install sqlite3 or zipalign binaries, it won't chmod or chown anything, and for some reason the V6 script thinks it is being run from the init.d folder (I have run it from sdcard0 and sdcard1 with the same result).

I kdz'd back to stock because I was getting frustrated but I can reflash the ROM and take a logcat if you need more detailed information.

Nah no need for logcat. I've never used v6 supercharge and probably never will so I can't help with troubleshooting it.

If you already installed busybox from here and still no v6 then I don't know what to tell ya lol.

The busybox and su in this rom are the ones from this phone's root thread.

The only hand I expect to guide me is Google and any other search engine that is capable of sharing useful information. I read all the time, infact way too much computer programming related topics.

I already have my reasons for installing a new custom, because I want to get rid of unnecessary applications to make room for my internal storage. I want to install kali os so I can continue pen testing when I am not at my laptop.

I am probably better off googling then wasting my time with a run around. Just because you probably know how to attempt one method on a phone does not make you better then no one. I code in a variety of different languages and I do not compare myself as a genius to others. Sometimes people are nice and like to share, and sometimes some people are ass holes and like to make funny remarks.

Don't know what the problem is. I was once a major noob myself and had no clue how to root or flash a rom. My solution to that was to read through that phone's forum and all the answers were there. Before I knew it I had a rom installed and enjoying my phone even more. Fast forward and now I develop for android phones all of which I learned with no help from anyone.

My point... We were all once noobs, but with a little resourcefulness you end up figuring it out.

I already posted instructions in the first post along with my rom on how to flash it. Someone a few posts up also posted some instructions.

Just to be redundant, here they are again a little simpler...

1. Place rom zip in sd card
2. Boot into recovery
3. Do a backup
4. Select wipe data factory reset
5. Now select install zip from sd
6. when install completes, reboot. First boot takes about 3 minutes
7. Once it boots and you're at your home screen, update all your apps through play store
8. Once app updates finish, reboot your phone. Done! Enjoy!

I went and looked up that article for you, I was only kind of trying to come off as an asshole. The reason you're getting the runaround is because you are asking questions that have already been answered, despite the fact that you claim to read copiously.

I don't profess to be an expert, but I also do my research before asking questions and I don't act indignant when things aren't laid out for me exactly the way I'd like. So good luck to you, I hope you figure out whatever it is your having trouble with.

I appreciate some of the help, but I do not appreciate the remarks. Also ofcourse no one cannot learn anything on their own without one depending on some sort of information. Even reading a book depending on the authors way of explaining things is holding your hand to what is needed to be acknowledged, just saying.
