This is a long story, I’ll try to make it as short as possible.
When you go on SamMobile’s web site ,
Firmwares | SamMobile and click on the country selection to the far right, you will see that each country, and sometimes a different provider within the country, has a different three letter code. This is the CSC. I found the following explanation for CSC on the net:
“It doesn't matter where you bought your phone or what sim card you are using.
What does matter is the
CSC code, (
Consumer
Software
Customisation code). To find your
CSC code... go to the dial pad and type in...
*#1234#
You will then get a screen showing 4 lines of information, thus:-
PDA refers to the build version of the firmware
Phone refers to the baseband/modem version
CSC is specific to geographical region and carriers. It contains the software packages specific to that region, carrier branding and also APN settings for data connection, MMS etc for your service provider.
Build Info: The time and date of the build you are running.”
Now, dial
*#1234# and you will get the info. needed to choose the correct firmware to download on SamMobile.
You said earlier that “Yea.. I have been searching for days for a fix.. and sammobile doesn't have the firmware I need”, but you can’t know that without knowing your CSC.
This is is where I had
TLA initially , (Swedish Telia), and I flashed
NEE (Nordic Countries).. I was scared stiff that I should brick my phone by using a different CSC, but it worked out just fine.
Another thing, don’t ever try to go back from 4.3 to 4.2.1, the risk of bricking your phone is great.
