[ROM][BETA] CyanogenMod 10 for the LG Lucid

I hope to incorporate a similar change to the 10.1 ROM once I fix the issues with the display. There are still major problems with the 10.1 Lucid ROM as the KGSL drivers and kernel in the LG Spectrum source do not appear to work with each other. Therefore, there is no display as the two do not understand each others' messages. Due to work it has been very slow going.

Does this mean you have been working on CM 10.1? Well, that's awesome!
Thank you, for working hard on a custom ROM for all users to enjoy!

Rom works perfectly!

Any chance of CM11?

I track LG Spectrum VS920 releases with this ROM as much as possible. The Spectrum just released CM11 on 11/26 but it is still not stable.

I think getting CM10.1 running is first priority, then maybe looking at CM10.2 (Android 4.3). CM11 is probably a long way off; does it have different system requirements than 10.x? It may not perform well on the aging Lucid HW.

If the OG Nexus One can take kitkat

KitKat arrives on Nexus One via feeble custom ROM
im pretty sure the lucid can too!

Any progress on the Lucid. I'm getting my moms old Spectrum in February when she upgrades but I'll still read this forum to keep the Lucid updated. And I've been having some problems when I lock the phone. It shuts itself off. Any ideas?

There will not be any work on the Lucid during Christmas time. I will take another look after the new year.

You are experiencing the "sleep of death", which has recently been narrowed down to EGL issues. It may be fixed in 10.1. However, fixing it is out of our control since the breaking code is proprietary.

Ok I've been having problems lately, so much so that I actually went back to stock. My 4g data kept dropping out in known good area's. I'd have full bars with the 4g symbol then bam my bars would turn grey and no data when trying to use the browser, facebook, etc... sometimes it would come back but would be sketchy at best. Tried turning on airplane mode and shutting down, then restarting and turning airplane mode off but would still happen. If I did a battery pull and waited then put battery back and power on (and sometimes have to do this over again as it would hang on cyanogen mod's boot screen) it would work fine for a few days before doing it again. I had the latest rom installed (b4 i believe) with the v9 baseband etc... So far no problems but I'm at the house with wifi enabled so it hasn't been trying to use 4g much. I'm wondering if it might have been either a bad flash of the baseband (which I did flash again after the problem started including going back to GB and re-flashing everything) or possibly the 4g sim starting to flake out or even possibly the radio going out. I've contacted a friend who works in VZW's call center who said take it back to a store and get them to re-issue a new 4g sim card. Either way I'm almost to my upgrade date (just under 2 months away) so I'm going to try and see if I can force the early upgrade and move on to the G2. I've almost forgot just how much slower the stock rom is vs cyanogenmod but if they're going to do a once over on the phone, of course I don't want them to see it's rooted with a custom rom... they'd pull the ole it's your custom rom bs or it's because it's rooted bs... Anyway the Lucid has been a great phone made even greater with the use of this rom. If or when I get my upgrade, this Lucid will become my young daughter's "mini tablet" to play games, music, and video's..... I'm glad to have had it, and even gladder to see that the developers are showing a lot of support for the G2.... I'll let you guys know what I find out afterwards....

Well I had already tried reflashing the radio. I had already known about the LTE/cdma/evdo and would check it occasionally to make sure it was still set so neither of those were the trouble. It pretty much just randomly started and after flashing back to gingerbread and taking all the OTA's I'm at ZV9 and have had the same problem once already. I'm thinking it must either be the sim card (not sure) or possibly the radio. I'm gonna go to the verizon store and get a new sim card and if it acts up after that then it must be the radio starting to go. If that's the case then I'm gonna talk them into giving me the G2, my upgrade status isn't due for about 5 weeks, but I'm sure if I raise enough stink and contact the loyalty department they'll go ahead and give it to me, especially since they've dropped the price on a 2 year contract to under $49 (depends on where you go). I know Sprint and T-mobile will give it to you free so I can always threaten to switch my three lines over to one of them.... I'll let ya'll know what happens....

Well I did have a "very old" Sim Card ( My card was all white, the newer ones are half white and half red ) the rep at the store said to be sure my battery is over 30% charged because if it's less than that the phone shuts down the data.. ( I have the extended battery so I told him that's never the problem ) Since the store changed out my Sim Card I haven't as yet had the data go out ( turn to grey bars ) BUT it has dropped a couple of phone calls, not received a phone call ( not ring no notification in the call log but the voicemail showed up ), and sometimes when I try to attach a photo to a text it won't allow me to send it, it attaches and says converting to mms but then the photo has a red x in the corner and refuses to send ( I have to turn off the phone and reboot it in order for it to work and it'll work great for a few hours then back to messing up ). So looks like I'm gonna have to call VZW Monday morning and complain. The work I do I can't have calls dropping or not coming in, ESPECIALLY if it's the boss calling me... I'll update after I talk to CS and let ya'll know

Hi all! Thanks for the work and assistance that has gone into this mod.I am having an issue getting B3 to go into recovery mode (this is a new problem). It does not matter if I try to do it through the power button or through CWM app. It does not matter if its plugged in or not either. After I press "reboot in recovery mode," it reboots, shows an android symbol, and then reboots again normally. I tried updating the app, but to no avail. Can someone help me? I am trying to get B4 and the new baseband.

Also, a reminder of the process would be nice. Do I flash B4, then the baseband, then gapps? Do I need to do a cache wipe first?

Lastly, I cannot email my backups from my phone to my email anymore. It says I have no apps capable of doing this. Did I lose something or do I need some app I don't have (didn't used to have this problem)?

Thanks again!

Well CS rep was nice, ended up talking to her supervisor who said they'd call me back in an hour after checking some things out. (this was on monday) sooooo 48 hours later no call. I call them back and get another rep who apologized profusely for the super not calling me back. Long story short - since I went to stock and took the updates the phone was dropping calls left and right, extended battery not lasting but half the day, pictures not sending in mms after converting and not even getting some of my phone calls. So due to those facts I'm now the amazed owner of a LG G2 a month and a half ahead of schedule. My Lucid will now get downgraded, rooted and have b4 reinstalled on it for my daughter to use as a mini tablet, etc... I'll still keep up here for updates for her, but I'm looking forward to possibly installing some custom roms on the G2 as this thing smokes and it should really rock with a custom rom. I'm just glad to see there is a lot of development on it versus the other LG phones I've had.
