I've had this phone almost one year...then since last month, its original battery drains like mad and I've tried some power saving apps, turned off gps/wifi/sync without obvious improvement.

I have to suspected it a bad battery, but i didn't have any replacement to test. My friend told me another way that removed the stock battery and spined it on a flat table. If the battery spined for long times it must be bulging. Guess what? I waited over ten seconds untill it stopped! Now I have to wait the new battery orderd from mpj arrives home...Sooo if any already tried fixing your battery life issue on software side, try this way and test whether you should buy a replacement.

This could be because of an app that you installed on your phone. Can you post a picture of your battery usage? If it shows that you phone is awake too much, then it will probably be because of an app.

Can you remember when this drain started and do you know what you installed on your phone around that time?

btw I don't know which specific app you are talking about for saving battery, but I suggest never using any task killers (they can drain the battery even more).

Have a same battery. I travel around a lot in my vacation and in many cases there aren't any power outlets. TBH I was a little bit hesitant about getting an aftermarket online at first but the truth is I couldn't be more happy with the increased battery life, stop worrying about my intense use of map and 3G data.
