I have a Nightowl DVR camera system I installed at my office and there is a Nightowl app that works great with it on my Note 3. I have installed a Rosewell DVR camera system at my house which does not have an app. I have tried several in the playstore and none really work well. The one that I have used is Asee and it works about 30% of the time. Just doesn't show camera streams.

So, is there a really good app that you use and know will work with these DVR systems? Not an IP camera app. The nightowl app will not work with my Roswell system...says its not a nightowl system.

If you're talking about Rosewill cameras, IP Cam Viewer in the play store does have support for some of their cameras, the Rosewill RXS-3211 and RXS-3323.

Nope, not talking about IP Cameras...that seems to be what most of the apps are written for.

I am talking about an 8 Channel DVR camera system. This one:

Rosewill RSVA-11001 8 channel + 4 Sony 1/4" CCD 21 IR LED Bullet Cameras, H.264 High performance DVR, Remote Monitoring/Real time record DVR Kit (HD Sold Separately) - Newegg.com

Just looked through the manual and it states 'Castillo Player'.

Here's the link to the manunal:

Steps start on Page 35.

Yes, Castillo Player comes with it but does not work well either. Tried it a long time back. Thus, the reason I was trying to find some other options. Apps (free or paid...just want something that works constantly) that people are really using and that are working.

I have not tried viewing via web browser. I want to be able to view multiple cameras at the same time. I have been working some more with ASee HD Pro and it seems to be working a little better.

Sorry... Don't have DVR and was just looking at the manual. Did you try contacting Rosewill about the issue? I know it might be a long shot if they can help any.

Probably going to attempt that again. Seems like I tried to contact them back when I got my DVR unit and it was next to impossible to get them. Thanks for the suggestions!

All I can get Eagle Eye to do is say IP address is inaccessible. The IP address is correct and works fine in other programs. Another then I didn't like about it is you can't use it unless you login or link it to your Gmail account...I don't understand that one. Anyway thanks for the suggestion...but uninstalled it...didn't work for me.
