Is there an iTunes for Android?

I'm bitter and pissed off at Apple and their store policies right now. My account got hacked, I reported it immediately and it took 3 days for them to respond. I'm sorry, but that's just a ridiculously long response time. Fortunately for me the hacker didn't run up any more than $2 in purchases in that 3 day period, but they easily could have.

Still, I think iTunes is a good music management option for me and I've been using it to manage my library forever. I don't buy music from Apple any more, but I do use TuneSync to sync my music. I buy through Amazon MP3 myself.

Don't people do just plain 'drag n' drop' anymore? I never trusted iTunes, Winamp, et. al. to do any syncing for me. I'm kinda old school, in which I just do the stuff manually. Plus, I reduce my 320kbps mp3s to 192kbps m4a files beforehand, since I have a lot of music and only a 16GB SD card to work with.

Here are the programs I use for the purpose:

Free:ac - converts file formats (i.e. mp3 to AAC/m4a)
Tagscanner - for repairing/creating ID3 tags using batch methods

Then I just open up multiple folders for swapping files.

And then I use PowerAmp for playback (does a very good job of organizing files, at least better than that Mixzing garbage app).

Not to sound like a stick in the mud, but the OP did ask for legal ways to get music and while this does sound like a great way to go about getting music. I, for one, would have to question the legality of such a method.

After all, you are more or less, creating an unlicensed copy of music that was streamed online. Pretty sure thats infringement. With the way the RIAA has been going after people, and for insane amounts, Im not so sure I would want to even give them a reason to look in my general direction. Now granted, its probably safer than bit torrent, but you still had to pay for it, creating a nice easy way to trace back.

That said, I'll probably at least take a look at it. :D

It is not illegal because he is recording his own music if you look at the law it is not illegal to create or possess copyrighted music what is illegal is when you try to buy, sell or ditribute the music to others without the proper rights
