Wallpaper set variable help

Hi guys, first post after much help from these forums but I've hit a hitch. What I would like to set up is a way for Tasker to automatically set a variable when I manually choose a wallpaper. So I set Picture.jpg as wallpaper and Tasker sets variable %WALLPAPER ~ Picture.jpg

I'm sure (hoping) there's an easy thing I've missed!
