If there's already a thread about this, I apologize in advance. So, Ok, check this out, I updated to Jellybean 4.3 last night when I got an email from a friend telling me to check for updates. Everything's cool, I'm enjoying all the new features until I needed to use FoxFi. I went to activate it and I got a pop up message telling me I needed to accept a certificate and set up a lockscreen password. So stupid me, in a hurry to get my laptop back online I just did what it asked without even taking a second to read what I doing or agreeing to. About an hour later, I turn on the screen and it looks like this (screenshot below) I was locked out. I tried every password I have, nothing worked. I freaked out. I called verizon. They had no idea and told me to do a FDR. I spoke to Samsung they too had no idea and told me to do a FDR. Not even thinking that this could have anything to do with FoxFi. I then went to the "authorized dealer" fake Verizon store, they couldn't help me. I went to the real Verizon store, they couldn't help. I went to the "Samsung Experience" kiosk in Best Buy. The tech plugs my phone into his laptop, boots my phone into Odin mode and attempts to downgrade my firmware. In the process he bricks my phone its now stuck on an error message within Odin mode. 3 hours later the tech is still failing to make any progress. I tell him to get the best buy manager. I then tell them both that the tech bricked my phone and they're going to either make it the way it was when I brought it in, or replace it before I leave. I told the tech, screw it, do the FDR. Wipe it. So he plugs it in, does something, then tries to reboot again. This time it boots up. By this time I had figured out that it had to be the FoxFi so when the lockscreen came up and asked for the password l used the one I I had created for the FoxFi thing. It unlocked but I had to enter the password every time turned on the screen. So, long story short by accepting that certificate from FoxFi, it made FoxFi the administrator of my phone. So I had to go into security settings and remove FoxFi as administrator to regain control of my lockscreen and my sanity.
