Nexus 5 64GB model

I ordered mine 1 or 2 weeks ago. I just hope I will be getting it soon. I will be using it mostly for stuff I want to keep with me but don't have to access all the time. Like my Titaniumbackups, mp3, movies......

Whoever this is, thank you for having a brain!!! I can't believe no one else talks about this. as soon as cloud storage started to come out the carriers all of a sudden decided to end unlimited data, and started putting horribly low data caps on their plans. Now we have phone and tablet manufacturers that seem like they don't know about these whole data caps things and continue to not support micro sd and make smaller storage devices and still push their cloud services like crazy!!!! Hello world, streaming things from the cloud eats away at your data caps which means you'll need to buy more data, which also means the cloud option is way more expensive to us than it is to add a freaking micro sd slot to all over your phones. also not to mention streaming stuff from the cloud is not as reliable of a connection than it is to play off of local storage!! This person is right, people should be outraged at the carriers and the manufactures both.

My guess is that marketing shows that sales > 32 GB are relatively small. We have 16 and 32 GB devices. I find 16 a little small but I could live with it if I had to by moving things around. 32 GB is more than enough for me. There are also personal streaming devices around - it's an extra thing to carry and more expensive than an SD card but that's all there is right now.

BTW, you could always just carry around a small music player.

Thanks for describing how well it fits. That came to mind after I did a bit of research on it.

Data caps are in place because of streaming not because its costs them more, but because it costs you more. Cloud storage is a gold mine for the likes of Verizon. They don't want to see you store more videos/music on your phone.
Economics 101- find(or create) a need and fill it for a price.

That's not the case in Des moines Iowa, lol.

What does this say about Verizon when they tell customers 90% never exceed 2Gb and that's why they got rid of unlimited?

Several manufacturers such as HTC and IIRC Samsung checked via their opt in 'send us unidentifiable user logs' that very few stored anywhere near the memory capacity of either on board or memory cards.

I know loads of people who splashed out for 32gb or 64gb cards but used very little of them or loaded loads of music and video, but viewed very little of the content.

IIRC the vast majority never get near to 16gb. By the next Nexus I'd expect it to be too close to this, so the next version would be 32gb & 64gb.

Did read a rumour somewhere about there being 2 flavours next time. A mini (Nexus 4) and the Nexus 5 2014.

I'd expect the 4 to be 16 & 32gb options.

But the biggest question, is will they be made by Motorola?
