i've been googling all day and still have not found an answer to my problem.

I have a sprint samsung galaxy s4, and a home PC using windows 7.

I am trying to tether the two together with a program called pdanet - or foxfi. I have been able to tether by USB and use my phone's internet, but not bluetooth.

I have a bluetooth 4 adapter, and my phone is paired with the computer. I have pdanet settings to turn off usb, connect by bluetooth. bluetooth is turned on on my phone and computer. When I right click the pdanet icon the connect by bluetooth is greyed out. When I go to settings and click on bluetooth pairing, it does not find my phone, even though I have set discovery to on.

I have tried this (bluetooth mode) with the phone both connected to the USB cable and without. I have downloaded the latest GS4 driver from samsung website, and I have also tried the driver that comes with pdanet. I also restarted the phone and computer after installing the drivers and programs.

Anyone have any clue on what I need to check? I have also sent off an email to junefabrics on their program.

Thanks for any help,
Dave

When you installed foxi fi on your phone, did you allow it to install the security certificate and put a pattern lock on your phone? It explains this in the play store description of the app, I have it on my Verizon gs4 and works perfectly! You have to enable the lock screen security certificate in order to connect via bluetooth, but dnt need it for usb tethering
