Pretty much a stock build of AOSP for the Wifi version. I may try to implement other stuff down the road (we'll see). Since the factory image doesn't include the new ART, I'm posting this

Info on ART: Introducing ART | Android Developers

The ROM (Wifi): https://www.dropbox.com/s/1mcwldzv5i55mb2/aosp_grouper-ota-eng.palmtree5.zip

The ROM (mobile): https://www.dropbox.com/s/wp7dgrlavp9dxak/aosp_tilapia-ota-eng.palmtree5.zip

You will also need GAPPS (I would grab the package linked in this thread by koko98 over on XDA)

Do I have to be rooted to use this? I know nothing about tech as I'm still new to all of this. Thanks :)

Rooting a Nexus is one of the easiest things to root. There is a tool kit called Wugs that can help those like you who are not very savvy and not comfortable doing thigs manually. I never used it so hopefully someone with experience with it will chime in and give you more details about it than I can.

I've used Wugs toolkit to root my Nexus 4 and will be most likely be using it on my N7 when it arrives.

The kit does everything for you... downloads drivers, unlocks bootloader, installs custom recovery. It works in steps - do x, click "next", do y, click "next". The thing that can be most frustrating is getting the drivers set up. Once you've done that, it's straight forward :)

I have yet to see anyone to give any positive advise on this ROM, only have seen people state how to root with WUG's etc. Sorry but I came pretty damn close to bricking my N7 with this ROM, haven't seen any support from the source and I would hate to see others go through what I did. If I'm wrong than please forgive me but getting my N7 back up and running after flashing this ROM really sucked!

^^ agreed. I used Wugs today to root my n7 and trust me i dont even know how to use windows, the only time i use a pc is to root phones and it went perfectly. I just made sure i removed all the old google, samsung, rim, apple etc (i maybe didnt have to but i did) drivers from the laptop when i was prompted to and everything just worked

Hey bro what actually went wrong in your case? Was it a clean flash, no mods etc?
How did you recover it?
Cheers

Which Nexus 7 do you have? If it's the 2012 version, what issues are you having?
