Root (Port) Behold 2 1.6 ( No Twiz w/ Busybox & Rooted Kernel )

Well I got the su to work when I first booted the phone. Then I went into superusers and to check if it was allowing it. I accidentally clicked on the text (I am guessing it was the "allowed" launcher) in su and it disappeared. Now I do the same steps and try typing su in the terminal and it says permission denied. Is it still going to allow it or do I have to do something else?

it wont let me put two different items in the images to download section i get the first one in there and then when i put the second one in it freezes when it checks md5 file name then i tried to just do one at a time but it wont finish

Ensure that the ODIN application is set to Run as Administrator and set to XP Compatibility Mode. Both of these are available by right clicking the executable and going to properties then selecting the Compatibility tab.

Ok some first thoughts on WarHeads.

First boot, I was getting a lot of Force Closes and it was pretty laggy, even after the auto update of time/date.

So I did a full factory reset (hit menu during the process), and I have less Force Closes, however com.android.phone Force Closed on me at boot up. Not sure what this is?

Lag appears to be gone and running very fast. Thank you for this! I've used Home++ before, so I'm familiar with the layout. I've decided to get used to it because I actually like the utility it brings.

Also, can you please explain in more detail what the purpose of this is:

To Setup the Launcher in WarHeads...

Menu > Preferences > Performance > UnCheck Lazy Mode ( Lazy Load Applications ).
Then you need to select>
Menu > Preferences > Screens > Orientation
Then, Last Step...
Load up the Terminal App.
type SU, Alway Allow... exit , exit...

That's it, all Fixed... I know it's a Pain, but once Done it's worth the effort.

I have yet to do the above step, just because I'm curious what it does.

Thank you so much BH_MAN for your work on this phone! Its hard to be a fan of a stock BH2, but since you've done all of your work, it's turned a mediocre phone into (in my opinion because of hardware) one of the top Android phones. If I were rich, wasn't unemployed and sticking to my wife's tight budget, I'd buy your son a shiny new Introducing John Deere's 9030 Series Tractors to say thanks. :D

EDIT: Another Force Close. Application Home++(in process mobi.intuitit.android.x.launcher) is not responding.

Is it possible to use this as my start up image?

I have done the above and rebooted the phone, but the application menu still refreshes every time I launch it, any idea?

Thanks!

I have had some issues with this working and not working for me. I did the config and it worked fine. I went through setting up a bunch of apps and it started refreshing every time.

Reboots did not help.

I got it to stop by going in and checking the lazy update, ran that way a while and then turned it back off. Now my refreshes are gone (for now at least).

Since su is part of the original fix I have also noticed also that I am losing su at times. Not sure what is causing it but it has happened to me a couple times.

People like you amaze me. It would take me a year to come up with something like that and it still would like my 7 yo drew it. lol...

You've had less than 24 hours and it looks damn good.

Haha. Well that's about all I'm good at when it comes to something on the computer. I'm completely oblivious when it comes to everything on here. I'm slowly learning.

I haven't tried this yet, but those look like instructions for the G1. I mean, if the worst that can happen is that it won't work, no biggie, but I'd still let someone else try it first.

afaik, we don't have access to the spl on the BHII that way. I'd check it, but I use a G1 and I won't see the BHII until this evening.

It works on the BH2 also. Same instructions for both. It's the same exact instructions for G1/BH2

It should work fine let me know
