Which wireless charging pad for the DNA?

Am I the first one on here to use a Tylt Vu with the DNA?

So far, I'm pretty happy with it. It was $69.95 for any color with free shipping from REI, of all places. That's a better deal than Amazon. It's working well with a Cruzerlite thin case. Wish I'd found this before the door covering the USB slot broke off!

The first full charge seemed to take as long as USB charging — i.e., forever. Subsequent charges now run almost as fast as the OEM wall charger. It is very forgiving of placement; I've left it hanging off the edge, sideways and even at crooked angles and it seems to charge no matter what. It doesn't make any sounds, either, which is a plus. The only thing it really lacks is built-in NFC.

That said, it's not without some quirks.

First, it stops/restarts charging at 97% for some reason. Left alone, it will go on to 100% but it does cause the phone to chime and light up twice (once for disconnect, once for the reconnect.) Then it lights up and chimes again at 100%. The light alone wakes me up at night. The solution so far has been to place an NFC chip nearby (putting one on the Vu itself doesn't work) that changes to a 15 second time out with 0% screen brightness.

Second, on one occasion so far it's locked the phone up while attempting to charge wirelessly. The orange charge light came on but the screen never lit up, then it remained in that state and I couldn't get it to work. Holding the power button down just caused the soft keys to flash. It finally fixed itself when I plugged up the OEM charger, it came on in the middle of the reboot animation.

The last quirk is that it seems to be capable of charging the phone while it's off, but it isn't quite working. The phone screen will light up with the battery indicator on screen and the orange charge light will flash but it never glows steady. Is it supposed to charge from off, or on only?

Edit to add: battery temp while charging is 92
