I recently bought GTA San Andreas for my Nexus 7 tablet, wow brings back some good memories. It's a really good conversion, and tablet controls are really well done. Its the full game, and so far has everything the console game has.
My brother said that GTA 3 did not have everything the console game had, but still I may buy the rest of the GTA games for this Nexus.

My only complaint, actually has nothing to do with the game, but my tablet as I got the first shipment of the Nexus 7 tablets (something I will not do next year) and this tablet has touch screen problems where the tablet won't recognize touch input for a short period of time.

Ouch on the touch screen. GTA3/Vice City are still loads of fun. I've loaded all the Android GTA games onto my Ouya for TV loveliness :D

But why would you play the Android version on a TV at home? surely if your at home you would just play the PC version.

The idea of controllers for Android is great but there is no way it can compete with a PC or Console, also I can't imagine anyone carrying a controller around with them either.

This game had fiendishly awkward PC controls. Easiest to play on my Ouya rather than plugging my pc into my tv or something like that

I agree, but Android is not suppose to compete with PC or Consoles. To be honest there's no good point in getting a controller for Android because different games require different controllers and some games don't work for certain controllers and it's a mess. Google should just release one controller, and make it a standard that if game developers want controller support, they HAVE to make it compatible with that one controller. I know it kind of sounds "Google is now evil for forcing one thing, android is open" but sometimes it's just better that way.
That's why I don't want to get a controller for my tablet, but OUYA, that may be something I will get, however, I like the portability of gaming on Android. I play GTA at work all the time.

I agree, it's just a little hard to imagine someone choosing to play an Android version of a game at home, when the console and especially the PC version are so much better.

A Google controller would be a better way to go, at least everyone can just copy that layout then and we will have full compatibility with games.

I had no problems with controls on the PC, worked great with unlocked framerate and improved graphics it was pretty nice.

Controller support wasn't good but there were ways around it, there are a number of controller apps available with custom profiles for games.

Also you can download a crap load of mods for it now with higher resolution textures, better models, cars etc.

Android ports are great, however mostly it's just developers milking an old game as it requires allot less effort to port than to actually bring us something new.

Oh, I agree. Especially when they charge $20 for a decades-old game... Yes, Square Greed, I'm staring at you.

Anyway, I have it on my PC. Honestly, what ruined it for me was that I could never get the Harriers to fly right on the PC at all :-( On the other hand, custom soundtracks and such never gets old. Rolling through "da crib" with dubstep and prog rock blasting... :p

I like to lean back and have some distance between me and a game if I'm using a controller and my bedroom doesn't have room for that at my new place, sadly.

I agree, they're a rip off but I've bought all.

Taking advantage of nostalgic gamers everywhere.

True I'm pretty sure the Android versions are an exact port from PC, but anyways I've bought GTA 3 and SA, I used to play GTA 3 a lot when I was younger, and GTA SA is always ganna hold a special place in my heart. I was never a Vice City fan so I didn't buy it. But GTA SA holds hours of potential fun. But sadly Rockstar removed cheats from SA, so Ill have to deal with the story for now.

Don't feel bad, the "hydra" flies like dung on the PS2 as well. Funny though the AI hydra seems to fly just fine for the other side.

I always pick the hunter.

I have the cheater for the Android GTA SA, it loads the hunter (or hydra) outside carl's house. Or nearly any other vehicle. Unfortunately no jetpack yet.

I prefer the Hunter as well, but it flew really well on the XBox, surprisingly.
