Help S4 keeps asking me about default settings

Ok so hopefully u can see my pictures now. That took a while to figure it out. Heres my issue:

Everytime I go to call someone or go to open a webpage I get this default crap coming up. No matter how many times I clear the default settings, the cache or anything, it still gives me the same message. I deleted dolphin browser out of pure frustration since the phone asked me every single time which browser I wanted to use. And every time I selected one and clicked on "always" the little irritating message pops up and says I need to change the settings.

This happens with making phone calls and internet browsing. I have skype so the phone is constantly asking me which calling program I need to do.

This is really and truly pissing me off. I want to just click call and talk to someone, not put the phone to my ear for 20 seconds only to hear nothing, look at it and see that the device wants me to choose a talking app.

I paid good money for this dam thing. Is there anything I can do here?

Here are the screen shots of my frustration.

OK, so say you choose to make a call and it asks you to choose between the phone app and the skype app. You choose phone and the little message pops up and says to clear defaults... ya da ya da ya da. Are you then going and clearing the defaults? If so, then that is your problem. When you choose an option, it pops up that little window to let you know how to undo the "always" choice you just made, in case you need to in the future.

If this isn't the case, please ignore this post.

It is giving you a choice since you have more than one app that can complete that particular task. Select the app you "Always" want to use, and then IGNORE the message about "Clear defaults" (i.e. don't clear defaults when it takes you to the Applications manager) - which I agree is a stupid thing. In my case, I "Always" want to use the Phone to make calls, not Skype (just like your example), so each time it pops up when using a specific app which allows you to make calls from WITHIN that app, I select "Always" and that's the last time I have to do that dance for that app. Eventually, the occasions for the popup are reduced. just don't get hoodwinked into clearing all defaults, since then you will have to start all over again setting your default actions for every app.
