Hello everybody! I recently upgraded my old Skyrocket to the Note 3...and I couldn't be happier with the big jump in quality. That being said, I have 4 apps on my old phone that I can't figure out how to transfer for the life of me.
My old phone is the AT&T Skyrocket which is rooted (I'm not sure which root...my brother did it for me), but runs stock 4.1.2 using Go Launcher.
My new phone is the AT&T Note 3 and is completely running on stock 4.3.
I did some research and everybody was swearing by MyBackup Pro when it comes to migrating apps. I had not seen any issues and everybody said that it'll transfer over all apps I choose through wi-fi. So I bought the pro version and installed it on both of my phones.
When I choose Migrate on my old phone, only half of my apps are popping up. For one, all the apps with Japanese characters in them are not being shown and there are some that are normal apps that aren't even displaying. The 4 apps I want to transfer are not available on the App store anymore and are Apps with Japanese characters in them. I paid for these apps and I definitely don't want to lose any of them just because of this digital rights nonsense (this is why I don't like digital purchases...but that's a whole other issue).
Interestingly, some of my other Japanese apps I have on my phone (old) are not displaying either, and these ones ARE on the app store and I actually already have them installed on my new phone...yet MyBackup Pro doesn't detect them either.
As a couple of headsup points:
- both phones have ALL apps installed on the phone and not on an SD card
- my older phone does NOT have an SD card in it (if that matters)
