Well I toasted my HDD and decided to buy an SDD but needed to go back to windows to help a buddy out with a few things, now im getting another sdd for linux and can hopefully build someday...lol

How would you flash this is Odin,
I tried to install through zip, now I'm stuck on boot.
Tried flashing the stock file still the same way.
Someone said that they flashed it through odin and it worked so how would I go about doing that?

Has anyone had any luck finding a copy of this ROM? I'm hoping to use this phone instead of buying a new one.

Nope, I PM'ed pretty much everybody from 2 different forums, and honestly didn't get a message back.
I posted all the links you need, however, to get up and running, from what I could find on the net. I don't know about the custom kernel, though, to be honest. Though you don't really need it.
I still have a copy of the files from the links I posted, in case those go down, too. The DEODEXED.zip file worked for my friend's Boost Mobile Prevail 2 (but I seemed to have problems with the odexed ringstockrom.zip).

Thanks. I'm mainly interested in this ROM because I thought it included the fixes for the extSdcard issues. I might be mistaken, but I couldn't get the other thread about linking to sd to work.

Samsung built the phone's file system with an internal GB of memory called sdcard, so linking to your sd card links to that file. The phone is basically useless because you can't put any apps on it. There is a thread describing a fix but its link is dead and the way the thread reads it didn't work anyway, and they kinda just stopped working on it. I thought this Rom fixed the issue and let you link to your actual SD card.

This is a modified stock rom for SPH-M840 Ring/Prevail2
* I have removed stock TW launcher and replaced with a MUCH slimmer launcher.
* Removed TW widgets
* Also removed un-needed Gapps (Magazines, Youtube, Music, etc. can be re-installed using Play Store)
It has bootanimation zip support so you can use your favorite boot animation with it as long as its sized for 480x800 pixels (our screen size) GS4 Play Store Edition Boot Animation by default
