I thought I was hallucinating... Anyone know why this fine application has been pulled off the android marketplace? Are there any other apps that are similar?

That's crazy. I have no clue why it was pulled.
I personally use TubeDroid just because it worked better for me.
I did try Tubedownloader and it was ok. I'm surprised it was pulled though. Especially with all the good reviews.

Weird it's not in my downloads for the market. I have it installed and can still use it, does this mean I will still be able to as long as I don't uninstall it?

It is unfortunate that it has been pulled. The Hitler rant videos have been pulled from YouTube also and if it weren't for this app, I wouldn't have the movie of him going off about the iPad.

Can't believe its off the market now, an i lost it on my old phone when i got the desire. Anyone have a spare file on the pc that wish to share with us all?

I would, but I've never been able to sync my Hero to a PC. My home PC runs Windows 2000 and is too old, and the one time I tried to sync to a friends computer I couldn't get it to work either.
I'm worried about losing it when we finally get upgraded to 2.1, but I'm hoping to have a new laptop soon. Hopefully it'll be before the update.
On a side note though, I've read that you can save an app to your SD card but can't install it from there. I think I did it with a game called Replica Island though, I'm definitly gonna try it with tubedownloader if I get 2.1 befrore a new laptop.
Edit: I just tried backing up tubedownloader to my SD using Astro and it was marked private and gave me no option to save like all my other apps.

I have tubedownloader on my Droid n it stopped working yesterday. Anything I type into search shows up as "No results..." even big names like Rihanna or lil wayne. I wanna know if this is happening to anyone else. Thanks.

I'm having he same issue. I have both the plus and regular versions but they are no longer working. Oh well, it was great while it lasted. I'll try another later.
