can I flash non vm kernels via cwm, can flashing a kernel change bootloader, I ask this because I have knox and if my bootloader is changed I will be bricked!

if anyone knows kernels, please link them, the cm rom for this phone has an interesting kernel, but its packaged with the rom, and the rom is kinda crappy, camera, play store, messenging don't work, and it doesn't function as striatforward, and my phone wouldn't connect to computer after flashing cm, I had to sideload stock rom with sd card!, I don't know if kernels can change, bootloaders, anyone who knows please explain, I know kernels on xda that are for other carrier gs3, but they have the soc, they are dual core, same ram and stuff, those kernels have gpu overclock, zram tweaks and display options like dkp, the roms also have sound tweaks for better fidelity sound, I wish I knew if I can flash it, ill link it in the description![KERNEL][AGNi][CM] 22-12-2013 AGNi pureCM v2.5d I9305 (ULTRA SMOOTH) - xda-developers

Are there any kernels I can flash that have gpu overclock, that's the killer feature I need! And maybe alongside with screen enhancements, touch screen customization like finger velocity and camrea tweaks for higher frame rate or resolution. Or how about bravia engine and audio enhancements like x loud or beats i can't believe none of these have been ported or worked on as they are desirable and change the experience more than a newer vision of android or a different ui, taking advantage of the hardware is key to enjoying it more. Please may someone keep adding on and make this a popular thread with mixed ideas and more support from seniors and devs and guides!!!!

any progress on new kerels with cool supported features, like display temp(in terms of color), z ram, gpu overclock, performance enhancements with or without powersavings(question mark) just asking, right now with all the mods and everything im loving my phone, but a little more gpu MHz wouldn't hurt right!

with all that your asking for i would assume you know of anthrax kernel. but some kernels are known to flash a bootloader with it. if you have knox i would not advise it. my best suggestion would be to contact a dev and ask the if a d2spr kernel is safe to run on d2vmu.

I Flashed cm11 vmu and it worked fine, don't think it came with a bootloader, cuz im not bricked(yay!!), but I believe if you remove assert lines any rom or kernel made for sprint will flash, also I just thew out the uber popular roms, I know about tanthrax, but I know it can be dangerous, with those high clockspeeds!!!

Im just throwing this out there and I know people notice this, why does the status bar become soo unresponsive, have choppier animations and just suck on jellybean, but on ics they are like 100fps(jk, but like 60+) just look at the stock gs2 and the s3 with jellybean, the s2 is sooo much smoother , with less effiecint and powerful hardware, im saying this after installing multiple roms and overclocking, and messing with memory tweaks, but try looking for the differences on the stock rom

Mr Goodman did work on this phone? Last I checked the site was down and I'm not much of a G+ man
he has an s4 now and with out G+ and AFH steps kernel access is restricted due to copyright and other issues that he is well within his right to do. the site is down but there are alternatives read around i am sure youll find it.

i was aware of the assert line removal and all but personally i am waiting for a better none cm based rom. i would love a stock google rom and a goodman kernel. however many devs dont care for mvno's like vmu and boost. hence why we have to do the work for our selfs.
