[App Suggestion] any apps that enable you to warm up your device?

Play games - that's usually the quickest way to convert electrical energy in your battery into heat ;)

There's a serious point there: to increase the phone's temperature you are converting your battery's stored power into heat. So running the cpu flat out and turning the screen to full brightness with both do this. Streaming data over mobile networks is also good for this. But these are also all things which will run your battery down quickly.

Most outdoor/hiking stores will sell those hand-warmers though.

Electronic components today can withstand a good amount of heat before they start to fail. The sensitive part of the phone would be the battery and display. Those would fail from overheating before the main board components would.

In order for an app to heat up the phone here would need to be some sort of hardware in the phone than the app would interact with. No such hardware exists in smartphones. So no app will be able to heat up your phone. Android or iPhone.
