Rooted Z998 App2SD help

Ok here is the deal. I rooted my Z998 a few weeks ago and love the idea that I can control the phone my way. I recently (yesterday) bought a 16gb sd card and put it in my phone....thinking that since this phone had limited memory and I love apps (lol), but question is this. After making the partion for the link to sd card on my phone since apparently it does support and sd card which is odd. I can pretty much transfer any app over (not system apps) to sd card through link2sd but I am told that anything that has a widget shouldnt be transfered to sd card. Is this true? I dont use the widget.

I dont think widgets work properly from external sd. Same with live wallpapers :thumbup:

Yes it's true. Widgets will either fail randomly or not work at all if you load them to the SD card. Any app with running services shouldn't be on the SD card either. If you intend to run apps from your SD card, please keep regular backups of all important data and settings stored there. Constant reading and writing to the SD card can wear it out prematurely.

so facebook, twitter, foursquare, linkedin, chrome, instagram and pinterest shouldnt be on there? are they not running services?

Plus I only use on widget and thats the weather .

I wouldn't put any app that syncs data on the SD card.

i am still confused. doesnt all apps sync data?

Nope. Some apps only retrieve data when you tell them to. They don't need a running service because nothing is scheduled. You theoretically could put facebook, et. al. on your SD card and turn off all sync'ing but you'd never get another notification.

now i really wouldnt need the notifications so if I stop all syncing and notifications for facebook will that be ok?
