Which Format Type?

I have an ainol aurora 2 tablet.It has android ice cream isntalled.

I read about different types of formats and i am confused.The reason i want to format it is to get rid of malware in it if there is any.Especially something like a keylogger by which someone can know what i do on my tablet.So which type of format is suitable for me?

Do you have any particular reason to suspect that the device has malware installed?

Is the device rooted? If not, any sort of malicious application would pretty much have to be installed as a user app - in that case, a simple Factory Reset (Settings > Backup and Reset > Factory data reset) should be sufficient. That will erase all data on the device and restore it to its factory configuration.

Alternatively, you should probably ask around in the Ainol Novo 7 - Android Forums forum to try and find details on fully wiping and reflashing the device.

I agree with CodeSplice and why not install a free anti-virus/anti-malware app and scan the device?
What you are proposing is very extreme in most cases.Try,"Avast" free anti-virus and see if it finds anything.The free version will cost you nothing but a bit of time and should allay your fears

If you do not have a lot of knowledge and experience of Android devices you could render the device unusable and I don't think you need to wipe the device for now

I cannot rest untill my tablet is formatted because there will always be a suspicion in my mind.I dont have any important data on it anyway.

Ainol novo forums are dead.So if you can tell me types of format i can google it for aurora 2.

I don't know exactly what you mean by "types of format", but it sounds like the suggestion I already made should work for you.

Yeah, formatting drives is a different thing to the casual word used "format your phone". The former involves completely erasing drives, the latter involves resetting your device to how it was when it left the factory.

You don't want to format your whole device so that there is nothing on it at all, unless you purchased it for the purpose of paper weight or door stop
