Root [ROM][VS870] Xperion ROM *Updated 11/2/2014*

Thank you so much for the help, the this ROM is now installed and I'm getting everything setup now.

Okay i'll try to write out a step by step process.

1. Make sure your phone can boot up, if you soft bricked it, read the sticky on how to unbrick it, then root the phone using the instructions in the stickies.

2. Download and instal this apk to your phone: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0By1SxJY5FEvyNXNHenc2ZGY5LU0/edit?usp=sharing

3. Open the app and apply the custom recovery.

4. Press the REBOOT button which will bring you into recovery mode.

5. Wipe data and do a factory reset in the recovery.

6. Select install from SD and select the ROM.zip file on your phone.

7. Let it flash, then reboot back into your phone regularly.

8. If you can't get past the activation process, turn your phone off, take the battery and SIM out and put them back in then restart the phone.

9. Activate your SIM, log into Google, etc.....Setup Wizard stuff.

10. Let your phone sit and update all your Google Play apps, including the Google Apps.

11. Restart the phone and you should be good to go!

ROM Updated!

New Changes:

  • Added a Blue Color Theme
  • CyanogenMod battery with percentage
  • Debloated a little more
  • Added Root Browser
Also a couple of you reported not being able to boot into 2nd-init recovery. So I added a potential fix for that.

Make sure to follow the same install instructions in the first post.

Either this phone is effed up (whether its mine or the whole Lucid 2 line, I'm not sure) but I FINALLY got into recovery and went to upgrade my kernel, couldnt find ANYTHING on my external SD card, and yes I know where and how to look, so I rebooted to try to find it and move it where I need it and after taking forever to reboot I find out that my phone factory reset and I lost EVERYTHING! Not anything from my external SD card, just all my settings, apps, text messages. You know, most everything relevant. All I did was wipe cache like it said, never went anywhere near factory reset. WTF! I mean its great I can finally get into recovery, but I didnt want to lose all my stuff.

thanks gt recovery does works but you forgot the file explorer and the keyboard nice blue theme sweet
The rom comes with google keyboard and root file browser. When you install the rom you must factory reset before flashing the rom, not after. If you reset after, then the user apps I included will be removed.

I would really like this rom to support apps2Sd (installing apps to sd card) I'm not sure if you have already added the support and I need to partition my sd card first BUT apps2sd is the main reason for my long search for a custom rom 4 gb for apps isn't really good...if I need to partition my sd card is there a app that doesn't require a computer??? I have used Aparted in the past but after a update it stopped working also idk if this is possible but more air controls would be nice like the galaxy s3 or even the watchon support? And will you ever update to kitkat if so when? And will it cut down the need for ram just like the official kit kat I'm I'm asking for a lot but it would b very nice thanks

@gamethoery Opps... My mistake I remember seeing a app having to do with ads when I did it correctly... What was it called? And np about the keyboard I just used the voice search on chrome and searched for the google keyboard apk file also one thing I loved about the stock file manager is it had a search funtuion... I also used it a lot so I miss it.. Any way I can get it back?

When I boot into recovery I can't mount the external sd, and it can't see the file in any other directory. Any ideas how to fix this?
There should be an option that says something like "install from external sd". I don't own this phone, so not much more I can tell you. Any questions you have regarding recovery, you should ask in the recovery thread.

Hey!
Thanks for the ROM :)
I have a little problem with the ROM.
I did everything you said, flashed recovery, made factory reset, format cache/davlik cache, flashed the rom, but it gets stuck in booting animation (Lucidian, and circles around it).
Is there anything I missed?
I think there was vs10B installed in it, does it has something to do about it?
Thanks in advance :)

I don't know. You're the first person not able to install this. I don't own this phone so I can't help you much. Check the instructions, I never said anything about formatting. Just factory reset in recovery then flash the zip.
