On an article this morning on Android Authority, there was a video of a G2 (assuming Korean variant) demoing 4.4 Kitkat, Video shows Android 4.4 KitKat on LG G2 - Android Authority
Partway through the video, it shows the phone/dialer app. On the bottom left on the dialer screen, there is a button that says "VoLTE" instead of the dial icon.
Is this a feature of Kitkat (native Android 4.4), LG's version of Kitkat, the carrier's version, or an add-on/app? From reading past articles on VoLTE, I realize that not only must the device/OS be capable but also the carrier's infrastructure (for handoffs to legacy voice networks) does too; but I found it very interesting as I was under the impression that VoLTE was still more than a year away.
