Root [Sprint] [rom] [vectus] gn2 [v0.6] 4.4.2

I'll take the occasional freeze because the speed difference between ART and Dalvik is significant but when I go back to TW roms and it's definitely a huge difference.

Just to make sure, was this the version of plasma that you have installed as you link took us to post #883, so wanted to make sure that was by design. see below before I flash later on today ;)

Also Doc or Andy can either of you tell me if there are any files in internal storage that I may need as I just realized when I flashed yesterday I hit the new Rom install wipe and it wiped all on internal memory. Most of what I needed was on external just want to make sure there was nothing important on internal storage needed to run phone

My internal is only using 1.48 Gb that when I realized it lol So use to TWRP, no use to CWM, my fingers are so big, I must of clicked wrong, LOL

Also what is the process to enable ART, just for kicks and grins

Yes, that kk plasma kernel was for cm11 sourced roms.

There's another kk plasma kernel that would work for Omni roms such as Omni and mazwoz

Do you have a link to the exact one your using right now, or are you not using or testing this Rom, then when would you recommend for this Rom, don't want to flash just anything, and I know you tested a few so would be easier.

Flashing now, will report back, the only thing I will miss is the Samsung keyboard, love those number on top, but will use my Swift Key Pro. Also will try what Doc mentioned, let Google instal and if it gets stuck on install I will reboot and see if it finishes the install of that apps once it reboots, if not them I will restore with Rom Tool Box ;)

[AOSPA][4.4.2] PARANOIDANDROlD 4.0 [BETA 3][1/20] - xda-developers Out of all the roms I've tested, this is probably the best I've tried.
Rom, mini modular Gapps and plasma kk cm11 kernel

Oh just noticed that's Paranoid Rom, Um interesting, this Rom here you did not like because of the Art locks ups ??

Also the Gapps in there are Mini Gapps, I was think of simply adding the Play store APK to Rom and not flash the Gapps. Now I'm torn, I think I will flash this Roms again and see first.

In Paranoid, what does he mean about flashing with latest CWM recovery, he should put version number, there could a few version after his Rom release, LOL Maybe that is why I had not service the first time, LOL

Any rom running ART may have lock ups or freezes, that's why it's experimental but like I said, the speed difference is significant so I'll deal with with an occasional freeze every once in a while.

Not sure about the CWM version but the latest Philz that you are on will work

Yah I just found it funny he would mention that is his OP, with mentioning which version for people, I use Philz so was no biggie as we know not to use the latest recovery in Philz, but he should of written a version number for others, bc if that Rom stays out there a little there might me a few releases after and no one will know which version he is talking about, LOL anyways I get what I was trying to say, cheers, LOL

Andy and Doc, did reflash this last night and backed it up, as i was working on a project on my Digi Rom, so have to go back to it last night to finish what I was doing, but quick question, you guys might know. In the native dialer for AOSP, since it's been a while since I used an AOSP Rom, I have never been a fan of their dialer, but when you open the dialer us, is there a way to get it to open in the all contacts tab ?? or col log, I did try checking quickly and didn't see anything in the settings.

One more thing while I have you guys around later, in Philz, is there a way to change the UI settings, since the tabs are small when clicking, is there a way to make them in larger icons, making it easier to navigate to press ??

Edit:, just checked and noticed there was a height adjust setting in Philz UI settings, much better now.

Like you im not really a big fan of the dialer either and to answer your question I haven't found one yet, actually I have moved any from this rom and back to Digi, if you open the dialer and go to contacts if you notice on others there a place to send a text from there contact info, on this rom its not there lol, for me this is a deal breaker as I use that all the time lol....:)

Also can't get camera to work says not connected tried also downloading a different camera from Play store still no go

Did install Stweaks, have speaker volume up but still not loud and I missing something

Yea there is only so far you can go on a AOSP rom as far as the sound goes, one of the main reasons I always go back to TW, as far as the camera mine worked fine out of the box....
