Root [ROM][BETA][4.1.2] CM10 for Virgin Mobile and Sprint 12/31/2013

Hello!

I just flashed this ROM a few days ago and I'm just here to give thanks!! You've done a great job and I'm glad to be off Sleipnir now! CM10 is sweet! Keep up the good work!

Some things I've noticed and want to ask about:
I noticed the included Messenger app is customized! That's pretty sweet, but in settings I noticed that Dark Theme is checked, yet I do not actually see any darker theme.. I've unchecked and rechecked, the theme is the same regardless. Is this a bug? Is anyone else able to use Dark Theme on the included Messenger app?

Additionally, and I think I saw it mentioned before but can't seem to find it now, MMS is a little tricky for me. Sometimes I can send/receive pictures, other times I cannot. Is this known or common?

EDIT: One more thing, I'm interested in tethering and I saw this on the OP:

Q. What settings do I use to get tethering to work?
A. Device-Profile: Generic ICS/JB (wlan0)
Change Setup-Method: WEXT (ad-hoc)
MSS clamping checked
Routing fix checked

I don't really understand what this means or what I should be doing. Do I need an additional app for tethering usb/wifi or does the ROM support it natively?

I'm a ****** lol. I just noticed I don't have the stock android Camera app anymore. Did this release lack it? If not, anyone have the apk I can download?

I know this rom definitely has the Camera app (I used it yesterday), but I can't find the apk under /system/app using the stock filemanager and root permissions enabled.

I was having issues with it, then I extracted the Torch apk from SlimBean Rom. Basically you need cyanogenmod's Torch.apk.

Do you still need the camera apk to this rom? I have attached the apk named Gallery2.

Should the Torch app from CM9 work on CM10? I used titanium backup to backup Torch before upgrading to CM10, but CM10 won't let me add the Torch widget to one of my screens after restoring it.

Alright, So the torch app worked alright until it disappeared... and I have to keep re-installing it. and The Brightness is stuck on auto brightness, so I can not slide my finger across the status bar to adjust brightness. How can I fix this?

Does video stop playing, but audio continues, for anyone else? Sometimes when I watch YouTube videos, the video will stop playing but the audio continues. The video just freezes on a frame and doesn't resume, but the audio can still be heard.

Yeah I get that too. If you press pause and play then the video will play again.

Has anyone come up with a solution to making profile settins work? I can not edit profiles. And also, camera works fine.. Just video/camcorder says "unfortunately gallery has stopped." Is this due to the gallery camera bug?

If I intend to switch my Virgin mobile phone to sprint, Could I just flash the Sprint Rom? If not, how would I go about switching my phone completely to sprint? (I activated it upon Kroger's I-wireless (Sprint)... Sms and calls work, just MMS and Data is broken.)

MMS doesn't work in the provided messaging app but it does work in other.
Is there a fix for this because I like the provided app, the pop up window is my favourite and the app is a lot faster for me than others are.

Does anyone else have problems displaying messages using the gmail app when swiping between next and previous images? I have to swipe back to a message a second time for it to actually display. Otherwise, it will just display a blank white screen.

Also, does anyone else have problems using the weather widget like my previous post? http://androidforums.com/elite-all-...mobile-sprint-12-31-2013-a-4.html#post6437421 .

I realize that these are minor graphics glitches and aren't of high priority, but I would like to bring them to attention. Thanks for all your hard work into this ROM; hopefully native (infrastructure) tethering will work soon.

Just flashed my stock rom after getting fed up with how little I can do. Plus, Virgin Mobile... Need I say more? Going from 2.3.7 to 4.1.2 has me fiddling around with settings for the past hour (which is very fun).

Anyways, everything has been working perfectly fine for me so far. Infinite thanks to phenomx4 and everyone else whoworked on this project.

Side note: I think I'm addicted to flashing roms now...

I've been using this rom since it was first released. And the only gripe I have is the fact that when I hit the power button to turn the screen on (when in a call). It disconnects the call even though I have the option unchecked in the settings. Has anyone else had this issue?

Also checking the Volume Rocker Wake option does nothing.

Ditto. A minor annoyance, and I hadn't thought to bring it up; now that it's been brought up, I'm having the same issue. Lol

i am also experiencing this. i'd like to check the time sometimes, even in a call, pulling the phone away from my face doesn't light the screen as it should and hitting the power button kills the call.

is this project dead? I see that OP has posted a few other ROM since this last update, just wondering if any of these current issues are being worked on or if I should switch ROMs again.

Hi phenomx4..first of all thanks for the great roms...I been running this rom with no big problems..no reboots,fcs,etc..until now..the little icons on play store and some images on the browser and Facebook are all blurry..tried everything with no luck..something got corrupted along the way..any way to fix this?
