Root SGH t-599n Stock Deodexed ROM

is there a change log of what you did ? or can you just post the new updates that you made i am running off of tether with the unlimited data plan but for some reason i cant get unlimited tether so if i download it will cost me dearly if if the org dodex and the new dodex are the same than just upload the changes and i will convert from there. i wont get a decent internet connection for a while my guy thats why i ask.

basically all i did was create a rom with a fake boot image and use the meta-inf from the deodexed rom for the t599v. i got this idea after reading another thread about another phone on XDA. I used my original rom.zip in the original folder in kitchen. built a working folder from that. Kitchen will ask you if you want a fake boot image. after the working folder is built i replaced the meta-inf and built the rom. i signed it, zip aligned the apks, and renamed it and it is working perfectly on my phone and has no odex files.

so apart from the fake boot and such you used the same script from your frist deodex?

no. I used the entire meta-inf folder from the stock deodexed for the deodexed t599v. including the binary. all i changed was the UI print info to show our phone. if you dont have it i can upload it. I couldnt get it to work before but it does now. the only thing i did differently was use the fake boot image. I also couldnt get it to work by just replacing the meta inf in my stock deodexed rom which is why i had to cook another one.

Weird. it worked just fine for me. Philz touch should be ok.

My stock deodexed rom has been confirmed to work on 4 phones by me. all i did was factory reset and wipe data and the phone booted up and worked fine. i dont know why it is not working for you.

Maybe you can try reflashing in odin.. I am using the cwm recovery and not philz recovery.

Oh I didn't know I had to factory reset it I thought I could just flash over my current build and that it removed all odex place apks then move the original deodex over my bad bro. You should update your op to show the steps. I'll give it a shot my girl is nagging at me to not tear up my phone. Lol anyway thank you for your help its very much appreciated
