Alright before I start I'd like to say that the flashable .zip is made by PlayfulGod.
Thank him for this NOT me. The file is attached, this is PlayFulGod's upload: http://unleashedprepaids.com/upload/devs/playfulgod/phones/LG/VS840/LGVS840_CWMT.zip .

*You must have CWM already installed for this to work.*
Disclaimer: PlayFulGod and I are NOT responsible for any damage to your device, do this at your own risk.

I have tested this myself and have CWM Touch working.

1. Download the file
2. Make sure it's on the Lucid
3. Reboot in Recovery
4. Choose "Install ZIP from SD Card"
5. Choose "Choose ZIP from SD Card"
6. Navigate to the "LGVS840_CWMT.zip" and install it.
7. Go back to the mainscreen
8. Goto "Advanced" then "Reboot Recovery"
The Lucid should boot into CWM Touch.

Anyway to get the Nandroid backup date and filename to be meaningful? My filenames all begin 1970-01-... and the creation dates are 12/31/1979.

They've always done this, for an odd reason.
What I do is just wipe all backups, and set up my device for a backup. Then I make a backup, on the custom ROM I am on. It's worked fine, and if I ever need to revert to Gingerbread I reflash. Any issues with the ROM? I have a backup, from when it was in working order.

I had forgotten about this topic. I now use ROM Manager to do backups, and it names the backups with the proper date and time, the creation date and time is still bogus, but with a proper name it is easy to differentiate your backups.

I find it easier to make a backup, rename it, and then simply 'crack' the MD5 sum to prevent errors.
