Help LG G2 wifi doesn't give data :(

Hi guys!
I have been using an LG G2 for two months now yet for the past week, I have been facing issues with the wifi connection.

I happen to have 3 wifi in my house and only 1 is best in my room. But for the past week, every time I am connected to that wifi, nothing works, like there is totally no data at all, I am unable to use the browser, whatsapp or any other application that requires an internet connection. I know that it is not a problem with my wifi since I am also using it from my laptop and it works like a charm.

In the phone, it says that it is connected and the signal is actually full yet I can't do anything that requires internet. For the first 30 seconds of connection, the wifi works normally but then it just totally stopped working even though the connection is still there with full signal. I have tried using the wifi on public places such as in school and they works just fine but there are only problems when using the wifi that I always use.....this sucks!!!!!

To anyone who knows what to do, please reply to this right away :) Thanks!

What is meant by 3 WiFi in your house? Three Routers? Are they on different channels with different SSIDs? What happens when only one router is powered up? I like using a utility called WiFi Analyzer to see the routers in my vicinity.

---

My first suggestion would be to reboot the phone (when was the last time you did this). See if that works. Once in a blue moon, my phone fails to auto-reconnect to my Linksys router in my house.

My second suggestion would be to "Forget" the connection to your WiFi router, reboot your phone, and establish a new connection.

Report back what you try and if the behavior changes, or you notice something that might help others diagnose your issue.

Yes, you want to make sure your Access Points are on different channels and that is where WiFi Analyzer comes in. I often use the program to find where my neighbors have parked their routers and move off that channel. :)

I don't know much about repeaters but they are not ideal, because they penalize throughput with the retransmissions they need to do.

If you don't live in a super huge home, you might find a more strategic placement of one router will do the trick for you.

I know you say you don't have an issue with your other PCs, but maybe your PCs are not N-compatible, and the problem is with Routers overlapping on N.. Your G- or A- B- devices might be OK, but not your N-compatible devices (like your phone).

I'm sure there are other gotchas, just trying to think of one scenario where just because your PCs are happy, your phone should be as well.

Have you tried rebooting your routers? :)

You have to do a little more investigation. Don't overlook your ability to experiment by shutting down the other routers and seeing if it is router related, powering up only one at a time.

Good luck.

I have a similar issue, granted it's not nearly the same as the OP's, but it might be worth mentioning and maybe someone knows of a fix.

I have a Linksys e4200 router with 5Ghz and 2.4Ghz having different SSIDs. When I'm connected to it with my G2 I don't get data using Facebook and YouTube apps only (at least these are the only apps I've noticed).

When I turn off Wi-Fi on the phone and use 4G HSPA+ or LTE (depending which room I'm in) the apps work perfectly. My wife's SGS4 has the same exact issue.

Not sure what it is. Maybe I need a new router but the rest of the data works fine (ie browsing, Netflix, and other apps, etc.).

Sorry about the vague explanation. Yes, by 3 wifi i mean 3 routers going to the same modem. After more experimenting, it turns out that all three connections has the exact same problem.

I am not a very techy person hehehe, but could you please explain to me about putting it in different channels and also the thing with SSID? :D thanks!
