Do you recommend the htc one

Do I recommend this phone? Yes!

that it all the information you need. To make a educated decision.

but on a more serious note:

pros:
depends on what phone you are coming from in my case it was the HTC Inc 4g lte. So the screen is bigger and clearer (more PPI).

BOOM Sound!!! speakers on the front!!! I like making fun of other people when they try to cup their hands behind the phone when they are watching videos. Speakers on the front make sense.

Speed, quad core 1.5ghz? I have not had any issues yet.

Kit Kat

Burst mode on a camera, there have been multiple times where i shot a quick 4-5 shots to take a picture, the wife would be like did you get the picture? me, I'm like i got 4 or 5 pictures, woman.

Cons:
no microsd slot, but so far i still have half the space left on storage

no removal battery (everything still feels the same, no issues with battery life. Speaking of battery life, there is this mode that shuts off data if you do not use it over extended period of time. Example I get busy at work and just have the phone in my pocket, still receive calls texts and emails. but I don't use it that often. There have been times it was 18 hours off the charger and at like 85% battery. maybe that is a pros?)

Other than that I think that's about it.

Absolutely love my HTC One, even w/o microSD and removable battery. I use mine with a custom 4.4 ROM and it usually lasts all day (though today I used it a TON for work w/ my students). The aluminum is fantastic and looks great, but I do recmmoned an otter box. Speakers are fantastic. The aluminum is gorgeous but pavement will scar it

Thanks for the reviews.....I am coming from a Sprint Galaxy SII so i'm sure anything will be an improvement. I am was also looking at the Moto X, specs seem less but highly optimized as well.

Walnut back. All that has to be said. I want the Walnut back. Yes, it's real wood.

If you have to choice one of those devices it has to be the HTC One, I still think you should wait though.

Pros vs Moto X

4.7" 1080p IPS Display
Aluminum Build
Stereo Speakers
32GB/64GB Storage (64GB version is expensive)
Snapdragon 600 (Quad core, not dual core like the Moto X)
Better Camera (10MP camera on Moto X has got poor reviews)

Cons vs Moto X

Battery Life (Moto X excels here due to some clever features but the HTC One's battery life isn't bad)
Back Cover Not Replaceable

I'm on a Nexus 5 now after switching from the One to the G2, and I miss my One. The speakers, the metal, the ONLY truly wonderful skinned version of android, everything about the phone was amazing except the build quality of refurbs. My first one went absolutely haywire one day. I went through more warranty replacement phone than I could count while trying to get one that was in like a new condition. Refurb replacements had large gaps between plastic and metal, loud loose vibrators, black paint over-painted from the screen border, and one even had the volume rocker completely separated from the phone out of the box. I finally got a like-new replacement and sold it to a friend for a good price, moved on to the LG G2. I still haven't stopped missing Sense 5.

The HTC One is hands down the best Android device ever made. Even a year after it's release, the phone is a beast. The design is so far ahead of any other phones out there. Front facing speakers should be standard issue on all phones, yet HTC is the only one that does it. I'm a big fan of Ultra-pixel. I have no use for 10, 12, 20 megapixel pictures. The camera is super responsive and takes great pictures (and video too!). And the aluminum body is super-classy. I can't go back to plastic after using the One.

The only cons about the device is the bezel and wasted screen real estate. I'm using an LG G2 because the screen is HUGE while the body is basically the same size at the One. But, I'm seriously considering going back to the One because it's such an awesome device.

I also have to warn you about the transition from Touchwiz to Sense. I'm a big fan of Sense, but some people complain about it. You need to try it to understand the difference.

Good luck choosing.
