Beanstalk ROM or other KitKat flavored ROM for BST E4GT

I am looking for a Boost GS2 friendly version of Beanstalk or another KitKat ROM for my phone.

Are there any out yet?

If so, has anyone written a clear and concise step-by-step with links to the proper radios and recoveries for those of us who may need the added detail?

I would really love to try out a KitKat ROM and any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
I saw a video for Beanstalk and it looked great but it was for the T-Mo version and I would love to see it ported to the Boost E4GT. I am currently running Stock/Rooted w/ A.G.A.T Recovery. I love it but I would love to be able to try out something of the 4.4 variety. I will definitely need directions on which recovery to flash, which radio I need and then detailed flashing instructions for the actual ROM.

Thanks ahead of time to all @ Android Forums and your fantastic support and community!

Heh, kinda funny how you can have multiple phones, even a couple of phones, side by side, same software, same revision, same everything mirror image, same apps etc......yet one will have issues, while the other does not.

never understood that, if its the same hardware, same software it should by all rights work the same, yet it doesn't, it can be worlds apart in fact........oh well, I'm shopping for an s3 atm, so I will be upgrading , but I'll frequent here as much as I can.....I always pop into the warp section now and then just to see how things are going although things are pretty dead when it comes to that area, guess people have moved on.

Boost mobile has the correct price I want, but, sadly they are out of stock.....$196 for the s3 is an AWESOME price, even used, and they carry a 14 day return on it......in 14 days as much as I personally play around with my phone, I can do a BUTT ton of testing in that time, I will be giving it the workout for sure, first thing, root :)......that's right I said it, "day 1" root baby!......then I can give it a workout, flash flash flash.
But I'm not a flash-o-holic....I can quit ANYtime I want to......(for that day) :)

OOS, blah.....oh well, I'm clicking that thing like every hour watching it, because the first time I see it I am ordering away!

true, but the price is almost 1/2 of what it retails for, so it's almost to hard to pass up.....next price up for new is $299 everywhere you look, and some are still $399.......so being as they list it at $196, it's kinda hard to resist.

On a side note, my "MAIN" reason I am looking for an s3, is so I can run some aosp roms, or even cm roms, so if the gps and 3g issues still haunt me I'm not gonna be very happy one one hand, but on the other I can always go back to my themed setup I guess on Touchwiz from the thread I posted.

I'll at least have a bigger screen and slightly better power/speed with the s3.

I'm hoping it won't let me down, but eh, thems the breaks, the worst that can happen is I have to stay on ugly touchwiz.

Been searching HIGH and low for an AOSP port for the dialer and contacts to work on touchwiz, seems some have gotten it to actually work on the s3 and working fine, so may have that option too.

I also read an article they had pulled from android police (not sure how reliable the source is) but there was rumor that google was coming out with a vanilla aosp launcher that includes the dialer as well.....not sure how that'd work as an app, considering the framework you would have to do to even get it to work....that's the whole reason it doesn't work right now is simply it's to much work and effort.

I wonder if some programmer that knew android language, would actually do a port and make it work on touchwiz, if someone was willing to pay to support the effort and how much it would really cost. Say if I was really rich and said hey I'll offer someone $100 if you can get the aosp dialer to work on touchwiz, if they would actually do it or if it would even be enough incentive......over active imagination I spose on my part (shrug), or maybe even the community as a whole get a colection going to pay a group to actually work on this project, that's an idea to.

Once it worked on touchwiz, I'm sure it'd be a global thing and work for all touchwiz roms. I'm sure it can't be to awful hard to do, seeing as how I see some touchwiz based roms have the aosp dialer and contacts built in to thier roms.

I pulled the rigger on Villuminati the other night.
I went through the instructions and flashing went like a charm.
I did experience a few problems once I get done and I am ready to use the new ROM.

1)I do not have 4g - not at all whatsoever.
2)I was not able to install the full g_apps package
- had to end up using the Micro
3)I was not able to sign into my Google account
- the CyanogenMod account works
- I was on my home wifi and everything else worked just fine....Soundcloud, LinkedIn, etc.

So all in all I am a little disappointed in the ROM in general. I want something w/ 4g and I want access to my Google account.

So my question now is twofold:
1) Is there a way to fix the issues I am experiencing with Villuminati OR
2) What other ROMS are KitKat and available for the BST D-710

If 4g is very important to you, then it is best to stay on a TW ROM. AOSP ROMs have had issues with WiMAX 4g. I was pleasantly surprised that someone even made a KitKat ROM for our device, considering our device is "end of line" with the manufacturer. Samsung is not developing any new releases for our phone.

Your best bet is to just use an TW ROM and just customize it some to look like KitKat.

I think that is what I am going to do. There is not enough difference in how my phone operates on the KitKat ROM nor the Hood Pope JB ROM to make me REALLY wnat to keep either one.

So can I use a JB Modem with a JB ROM and get 4g running or will it be the same?
I know that the ICS modems are needed for the KitKat ROMS but is the same true for the JB ROMS?

TW JB uses JB modems. There are one click installs of the stock JB available in both rooted and non rooted.

The only difference between a Sprint labeled ROM and a Boost labeled is bloat apps and MMS settings.

I am not a big fan of AOSP ROMs. They often have bugs, and data speed issues, along with not being able to easily do things like PRL/Profile updates.

To me, the OS should practically be unnoticed, so your focus is on what you are actually doing with your device, and not trying to work around bugs. As such, I prefer TW ROMs. For a look & feel change, changing your launcher, and maybe flash in a UI mod, would accomplish that...
