Whew! Sorry about that. No Wifi at home to test, but I would have found out in town. Thanks for the Heads up to you and Biker.

Yep. 26th version of the kernel works fine with Wifi. Just downloaded about 200MB of Podcasts.

No problemo bro. Decimalman is definitely on his game because he got that baby fixed fast. I had just flashed the 2nd kernel and played around a bit on the phone then read Struckn's post about a new version with working wifi. Darn sure put a big old smile on my face. LOL!

Nice to see Beanstalk is being worked on now on a more frequent basis too. Hopefully there won't be that many bugs with this new build. The last build ran well. I'm back on the Snapshot M3 build and loving it. This baby runs great.

so is beanstalk the way to go then biker if i want to try out a 4.4 rom or is there a more complete rom just give me your opinion i know its better to test on my own but i trust your opinion. ready for something new been on moar for a couple months and just recently swithed to wickedz newest build but im not feeling the blue or any other themes. thnx buddy

Well. I just heard that Beanstalk released a new build so I can't speak for that build. `I read that bugs are possible. The one I ran was the BeanStalk-4.4.249-20140221-d2spr build. It ran great besides the camera which was an easy fix. I used the pa_gapps-modular-mini-4.4.2-20131230-signed when running Beanstalk too.

Personally, if you just want a stable 4.4.2 build without all the bells and whistles then I would go with the CM11 Snapshot M3 build. You may or may not have to use the camera apk the Struckn pulled from Vanir. I went ahead and installed it and haven;t had any issues. It also is running great with the newest AOSP DKP kernel from Decimalman. Xposed Framework can also be installed with CM11 if you want some extra goodies to play with.

If you're asking my personal opinion of what you should go with that's a stable ROM I would have to say go with the CM11 Snapshot M3 build and the newest AOSP dkp build. If you have any questions or anything you know I'll be more than happy to help you out.

I've got some kick ass news for you guys that I'll be sharing pretty soon. I was asked to test the pre-release of a ROM earlier today and I'm just now getting it fully set up. So far this baby is smoking hot and running like a CHAMP!! I wish I could give you more info but until I have the go ahead, this is all I can say right now. Just know that what I'm testing is going to make a lot of you very very VERY happy!! I'm super stoked about it and can't wait until it goes OFFICIAL!!

Are we allowed to make guesses? And are we talking KitKat goodness or 4.3 TW?

thanks biker once again your the man exactly what i needed to hear to make my decision. and is that a stay tuned your dropping the info on that new rom tonight or will it be some time soon cause if its gonna release tonight ill wait on the cm and help test.

I'm not exactly sure when I'll get the go ahead to share or if they will just release an official build. I know one thing bro. From what I've seen, it's almost ready for the public!

I've actually tried to download thew ASOP roms but they NEVER seem to work for me. I got Slimrom on my phone but every time I tried to open the browser it just closed then stopped responding.

I'm actually really good at installing roms on a phone but this seems to be a mystery to me ..

If anyone can help that would be great.

Try a new browser. If you want to keep the one you are running, go into settings/ apps and look up the browser. Select the Clear Data option and then reboot. See if that helps you out. If not I would try a different browser or maybe even a different set of GAPPS.

Sorry I brought the new ROM up so soon. It is not going to be released until they start up a thread (hopefully not long from now). He does not want me sharing the link yet for the test build. On a better note, I have been asked if I would like to test for the Sprint/Boost version. Of course I said heck yes!!!LOL
I'm gonna go ahead and let you guys know we have a nice 4.4.2 ROM that's being built that I'm sure it will make quite a few people happy, myself included. I could tell you what it is but that would ruin surprise!! LOL!!!!

I'll try & see if that works but is slimrom suppose to have the playstore in its gapps?

Bro, anything having a to do with Google is in the GAPPS or can be downloaded from the Play store. Rarely will it comes with the ROM. I say rarely because I have seen the occasional AOSP ROM with Google Apps included.

Yep. Back in the day, Gapps were included, but Google went legal on it. So, now, it is a separate file.

I tried a new browser (that worked) but I can't even sync my google account ..Nothing seems to be working actually. I have a backup of all google services which I manually installed & still nothing.

It could be an issue with the ROM build you are running. I'm not sure bro. I haven't ran SlimKat in awhile. Do you have your Google settings set to sync?

I would try it with a different ROM and see what happens.

Either that or read through the SlimKat ROM thread ans see if anyone else is having the same issues.

Nice ROM. Camera Bugs. Some folks have LTE issues. Proximity sensor stops working during a call if you turn speakerphone on.

Has some nice stuff that Carbon does not have.

I am running wicked and carbon now, was on moar for a while. They are not updating the themes for moar. He doesn't have the s3 anymore. Haven't seen anyone else making themes for moar either. Just passing along the info.

One of the good things about Carbon and CM11 is that we have P-lenty of themes to choose from. I've been running quite a few of them and they've been working great!

Wicked Sensations has several nice ones too. I love me some GURPLE!
