Help SD Problem when activating USB Mass Storage

When I try to activate USB Mass Storage on my Flex I get the following error message:

USB Operation Unsuccessful
There's a problem using your SD card for USB mass storage.

Any thoughts on how to make it work? The SD card is fairly old (and outdated, I imagine). Do I just need a new one to make it all work?

The card may be defective. Run an app like A1 SD Bench on the card, or mount it in your computer (use a card reader if needed) and run h2testw on it. The card may just be defective. (There's more than just memory in an SD card - there's a controller and some programming, and somthing miight have happened to any part of it.)

If there's nothing wrong with the card, buying a new one won't solve the problem.
